I lost the audio input since updating to beta2, the built-in microphone still lives in b1 with the new applealc 1.2.8v2 built by someone on this thread earlier, but now everything gone

I'm using IDT92HD93BXX(layout-id 12)

Could you, please, upload your Clover folder for analysis? Once fixed, you should not have any issues with it. Unless you've changed something else in the meantime.

So, let's see.

Also, don't forget to clean your config.plist SMBIOS/RT variables of of any serials. We're not interested in that.

Hi guys,

If you want Mojave Beta 2 full installer, one way to get it (if not the only way so far) is using HS Beta. If you try to download it directly from Mojave, you'll get the 12.7 MB (at least that's what it was in my case) web installer. Which...works perfectly fine. I had no issues with it. But it might be trickier to get that to work with an USB drive.

Aand...apparently, my HD 4600 works in full 2k resolution using IntelGraphicsFixup and the usual Inject Intel + ig-platform-id in Clover config. That is awesome.

In X-99 everything ok with the MJ b1 and b2! But in my Lenovo Skylake (in the signature) and always stable up to 13.6 betas ... neither with MJ beta 1 or 2 with the last SkyLake kest patch and last Clover, I can move! Starts the upgrage, reboots as if everything is fine and then, a little past gives me KP. I think without being sure, that may have to do with the HD. Tomorrow I will clone the HD for an SSD and test again ... any suggestion that seems useful, I thank you!

Did it solve the QuickLook issue?

Just another way to get a full macOS Mojave Beta 2 installer from Apple Server that we can do from all mac versions. DWYOR.

What does this mean?

need to add CPU feature flags for ssse3, sse4.2, and popcnt to avoid Illegal Instruction crashes

1. CPU feature flags for ssse3, sse4.2

2. popcnt

to avoid Illegal Instruction crashes in the graphics subsystem

Do we have chance to work with 775 E8400 cpu without SSE4.2 support?

Mojave installs the same way as High Sierra. The only difference is that Mojave now requires
CPU instructions that were introduced with Nehalem, so you will need to add CPU feature
flags for ssse3, sse4.2, and popcnt to avoid Illegal Instruction crashes in the graphics
subsystem after boot is complete (causing the top menu bar to flash on and off, and Finder
to crash on open).

Tested with Clover 4542.

I guess this fix doesn't work for my build? I have no problem with mp4 files, .jpg is the issue.

Should work exactly the same way for your build. :)

Clover Config -> Graphics section -> Inject Intel checked (UNCHECK Inject Nvidia/ATI if you had it checked) and add ig-platform-id 0x0d220003

Clover/kexts/Other -> Download and add IntelGraphicsFixup from here.

No need for FakeID. But I think you will need a digital connector (DVI/HDMI, no VGA).

I also have hd 4600 and all ok except the sound for hdmi .... greetings

Hola! Not sure about HDMI sound... I'm using analog sound, and that one works. But if you're using AppleALC.kext, try to post a question in the AppleALC thread here.

Thank you very much for trying but it didn't work . I'm using HDMI btw.

Tried with inject Intel/ATI also but no luck. Rebuild cache. Nothing worked.

I can quicklook small .jpg files only but when I try with normal size picture I get loading circle and after that can't open any format.

If I try to open it in Preview app I get "not responding" in Act.Monitor app so I have to force quit the app.

Other apps like ColorSync Utility and Grab app can open .jpg with no issue.

Same exact behavior here with my GTX 650.

Until yesterday, as a workaround, I was using Grab to open jpg files.

Anyway, please, remove any serials from SMBIOS and RT Variables and upload your Clover folder for analysis. If you're using HD 4600...it should work. With HDMI (and it could be my cable...), it works, full resolution both in pre-boot, and in the OS (due to IntelGraphicsFixup kext), but the screen flashes pink when initialising second stage boot, and also, flashes white randomly throughout the OS. I'm currently using DVI. But...you might get different/better results over HDMI. Maybe it's just my cable.

Also, if your purpose is to get Intel Graphics to work, Inject Nvidia or Inject ATI should be UNCHECKED. :)

Anyway, let's take a look at your Clover folder.

Hmm....I wonder if removing your SSDTs from ACPI/Patched will fix the issue. Do you even need a SSDT/DSDT? Cause I don't (and I really doubt that you do). None. All patches (and there are very few needed in the first place) are done through Clover config.

Also, you need to check Inject Intel in Graphics. Right now, it's not.

Could you please, provide more info on the actual issue? What happens exactly?

Also, are you connected via DVI/HDMI?

Connected via HDMI.

The issue happens when I try to open .jpg file. I can open any file in quicklook/preview.app until I try to open .jpg file. As soon as I try to open .jpg file, quicklook/Preview breaks and can't open anything anymore.

Uhm...sorry for the (probably stupid) question. But are you connected to the iGPU? Meaning cable connected to the motherboard graphics port, not the dedicated graphics card port.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers :)

Yes, connected to iGPU

Everything worked great until I updated to Beta 2

Then it beats me.... I have no idea. I mean, you should see at least SOME changes.... Both to the boot, and to the actual issue... Do you have acceleration? Full resolution? Both in Clover GUI and OS? I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work...

But maybe you can try what cyberdevs suggested before. And see if that works.

Which is to manually remove:

1. com.apple.finder.plist from Library/Preferences

2. com.apple.QuickLookDaemon.plist from the same place

3. Kext cache remove (it will be rebuilt on the next reboot). Which you can do using Terminal, and doing:

sudo -s
[password]
rm -R -v /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/*

4. Reboot

5. On Clover GUI, press F11 to reset NVRAM.

Let's see if THAT makes any difference. I mean, I'm honestly surprised it made absolutely no difference. It instantly fixed the issue in my case. And it does make the difference even without the patches. As long as you can boot your system and use Apple driver. You don't even need acceleration. It makes no difference in this case.

But anyway...let's try this, as well.

It seems Beta's bug for me, also happened on my mach on prev. macOS 10.13 Beta last year, till Nvidia provided WebDriver update then all went be fine (or wait for Stable release if graphics=Supported Intel/AMD)
