Hi @Sherlocks

Have you tried this method to enable QE/CI for Intel HD3000 under macOS Mojave Beta 1/2?

Some real mac users with this graphics confirmed it works just fine. Thanks.

yes. it works in only 10.14 beta2(18A314h)

apple fixed black screen issue

now insanelymac upload is broken.

The issue is fixed so far. Here's what I did:

  1. I removed the DSDT
  2. Reconfigured the config.plist to and removed some flags which weren't needed because of the DSDT
  3. added the InjectATI + Ornioco Framebuffer (removed the Orinoco framebuffer because of some weird glitches)
  4. Added the InjectIntel + ig-platform-id for my intel HD530
  5. Removed com.apple.finder.plist
  6. Removed com.apple.quicklooks.com
  7. rebuild the kextcache and reset the nvram

I will be testing the hell out of this system and see if I can get it to work with the DSDT as well.

Cheerio

Does it still work for you? Cause it still doesn't work for me.

Also, I suspect there might be a mistake in the steps above. Cause I couldn't find anything such as com.apple.quicklooks.com... :)) The closest I've got is a com.apple.QuickLookDaemon.plist. Unless the file you're mentioning above is in another location than /Library/Preferences.

Get a same issue with Legacy HFS+ Mojave Beta 2 as well, with installed rc.script and working nvram though..

 i did not tried Version 10.14.db2 but for Version 10.14.db1 the Mojave MBR HFS Firmware Check Patch 10.14.db works well even with Pentium G3460 and GPU Msi Radeon RX 460

(sorry to be late)

Guys, please help me I still can't boot my system. I just can boot windows. I am getting the same verbose screen even with USB installer which I installed Mojave with this USB installer. Now looks like my all system stop and all disk and Installer USB giving the same error. Please help why cant I boot?

What I tried so far;

CMOS reset and set BIOS setting again

Tried all USB port

Could you please someone check my EFI folder what is wrong;

I added verbose screen inside of the zip;

Have you tried to remove the patched DSDT from ACPI/Patched ?

I'm also using Clover on a Skylake build, and never needed a Patched DSDT. All my patches are done (and very few are needed in my case) through Clover config.

Were you able to boot with the exact same config before?

What was the last thing you've changed?

Also, have you tried booting in Single User mode?

As @arsradu try without your dsdt first then try this config, its yours but i enabled and disabled dsdt patches and added a fix.

You may also want to try re download Mojave and recreate the install USB.

yeah it still works but I'm not using Mojave that much because I need to get some work done without any issues so I'm still spending a lot of time on High Sierra, and yes you're correct about com.apple.quicklooks.com, I edited my previous post to avoid further confusion :)

@arsradu

Here is a screen recording of my QuickLook as you can see it's working normally after the changes I made, IMHO the main cause for this erratic behavior is a misconfigure config.plist or a DSDT

How ever the beta version can be the second cause for that. Apple might fix it in the next release.

Thank you so much for this! While mp4 files have always worked for me, jpegs have not... At least not the initial ones. I have one single jpg that still works... But it's really tiny and it's just a converted png from a screenshot. I still don't know how does that one work...but it does. It's the only one that still works.

By the way, would you be able to share your config (obviously after cleaning up all the private stuff)? I'm really curious what exactly from that config could affect this... Cause I'm honestly not sure what could affect it.. I mean, my config is pretty damn clean as it is. And that's the way I like it. I even tried with a new config generated with Clover's genconfig feature. And no issues with it, but also...nothing new regarding THIS particular issue. Basically doesn't work no matter what...

Anyway, if you don't mind sharing your config for comparison, that would be awesome! And once again, thank you very much for this.

You are most welcome :)

I already posted my config here and you can download it, it's still in my dropbox. You can change the serial numbers in the config.plist because I don't use this info anyway.

If you like you can send me another picture to test and see if I can still view it in my new setup. I didn't have a problem with the previous picture you posted.

Before making those adjustment to my EFI folder and the config.plist I wasn't able to use quicklook to view anything, MP4 videos didn't playback, the audio files didn't work and the only MP4 video that I was able to playback was a very short screen recording that I have made to see if quick time can record the screen properly.

However your hardware specs are important, do you have the issue on the system in your signature or is it another rig?

Perfect! I'll check it out in more details soon.

Here's the only jpg on my system that works.

And yes, we're talking about the system in my signature. Although I've had the exact same issues with another Skylake build I've mentioned before, using a GTX 950 (with no Nvidia drivers, since there are none). So...I'm thinking this is probably a bug...to which the config could help...rather than a config issue in the first place? But at this point I'm not sure. I'll take a look at your config and see if there's anything striking as potentially important to this issue.

Many thanks! And you should probably get some sleep, as well. :)) It's usually good for you.

Thank you guys, finally, I found the problem. Before install, I used latest Apfsloader.efi and remove apfs.efi all my drives even from USB installer. But latest apfsloader.efi require partitionDxe-64.efi and I missed that part after adding this driver to my drives and USB all system boots normally now.

@SavageAUS thank you for the config I will also try that.

@arsradu can you also share your skylake config with me?

Thank you for your help guys.

I knew it! I was like: could that be the issue....? I thought we should start step by step. But apparently you found it first. Good job! And glad that you figured it out.

As for the config, I will only be able to share it with you on Monday, since I don't have access to that computer now. :)

Anytime ;)

Just one last thing before I go to bed :D

Here's what I suggest you to do, take out the GTX 650 or the 950 from the system and only use iGPU for the sake of the experiment and see if that the issue still remains the same. I guess this bug or issue is caused by the GPU and since there's no web driver for the GTX 950 available at the moment and (but I guess GTX 650 must have native support).

My assumption on the GPU being the cause is based on the fact that even though my GPU has native support in macOS but the DSDT changes the way macOS handles the framebuffer and/or the web drivers so I would assume this can be fixed if you use the iGPU which also has native support in your case.

I already tried that. The issue does not occur with the iGPU. And yes, while the GTX 950 does need Nvidia driver, the 650 works OOB with Apple drivers.

Still, what's interesting is that both experience the same issue, with Apple drivers. Only one has acceleration, the other one does not. So...I'm not sure where's the problem. But...it doesn't seem to be related to the config. Although there might be a workaround that could be applied from there... I don't know... We'll see. In the meantime, I'm using Grab for jpegs.

The problem with using the iGPU...is that it's limited to 1080p. And...I've got a 2k monitor. :D So...while it does work, and while the issue does not occur with the iGPU, it's kinda painful to downscale everything back to 1080p just for this. :D

So, your theory might be (most likely is) correct. :)

Thanks man!
