This is simply not true, they have removed a ton of previously supported devices and also changed how things normally worked with its actual supported devices. Just because it worked in previous macOS versions does not mean it will work with Mojave.

Now it works in almost many Unsupported Macs and Hackintoshs including Core2Duo as shown, it only needs some patience and searching for a solution, because solutions exists already, it only depend on what you know and what you don't know yet ^_^

Testing Mojave 10.14 on my HP Probook 4540s everything works with the exception of sound at the moment. If anyone has gotten sound to work in Mojave yet I would love to know how to get it going on the laptop for testing.

In the DSDT or the SSDT you use, replace:

"layout-id",

with

"alc-layout-id",

Add -alcbeta -lilubetaall into the boot-args and use AppleALC_1.2.8v2.zip this was picked from @arsradu post in AppleALC topic ^_^

This is if you already use AppleALC kext solution, if you use another solution ignore this comment

You tried Archicad?

Works here, as well. I mean, I don't know what exactly are you trying to do...maybe there is a specific scenario in which it doesn't work, but...it does open up fine.

Which version did you try? Maybe they already released an update...and all you need is to install it? Would be too easy, I know. :)) But...who knows. Maybe it's stupid little things like these that we don't pay attention to, that cause the biggest troubles. I'm just saying. :) It's worth double checking.

Also, did you make a clean install of Mojave? Also, does ArchiCAD use Java....? If so...is it installed?

I'm not sure what you should see in Demo mode... Never used this software before. Looks like a pretty graphics intensive one (which makes perfect sense considering its purpose). But anyway, as I said, it does open up just fine. :)

Using the iGPU or the eGPU? Did you manage to get Nvidia driver working in Mojave...? Also, I'm not sure, but I don't think "borked" means working fine.... So...are you confirming it working or not working for you, too? Cause I'm confused.

Preview is working fine for me and not tried to get the nvidia drivers working yet as the HD530 is perfectly adequate for the meantime.

Yeah. Well, that’s the thing. It works fine with the iGPU. I tried it myself and yeah, works fine like that. But it doesn’t work (at least not for most of the people) using the dedicated GPU.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your feedback. default_smile.png

Hey thanks for taking the time to load it!!

Yeah it opens fine for me too but trying to actually draw a wall or anything results in endless spinning wheels.

I've just wiped my mojave and did a fresh install on a formatted SSD then a fresh install of Archicad (the latest version), but still bad.

I'll double check the java.

Thanks again man, I appreciate your help.

edit: Java is installed and seems ok. Hard to say if it's working fine or not :P

I'm not really bothered and I'm sure it'll get fixed. I'll put the mojave desktop on the HS for now and probably not even notice it's not Mojave haha.

It's actually the same for me with Adobe Lightroom. It's not endless spinning wheel. But it is very, very slow. Doing anything, moving any slider is laggy. And it is kind of annoying to use. It makes actually getting some work done pretty hard and frustrating. But hey, I didn't expect it to run smoothly from the very beginning.:)) And especially on a BETA. :))) So, yeah, I'm pretty happy that it actually runs. And, as I said before, and as the actual OS warns about (at least in my case), some apps are not yet optimised. This will most likely be fixed in the future.

Glad I could help! Took a while to download and install that software (at least on my rig). :))) I'm glad it wasn't for nothing. :)

Createinstallmedia is not an app. It's a component of the MacOS installer found in /Content/Resources/. And it is used to create USB installation media (such as a bootable USB drive).

931328980_ScreenShot2018-06-11at12_40_31.png.0f0ca33b6505b85138ab4a7962b10f14.png

  1. Download the MacOS 10.14 app from the App Store.
  2. Open up Terminal, and do this:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.14\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

This assumes that your USB drive is called Untitled, which is the default name. If that's not the case for you, make sure you adjust the name in the command above.

That should create a USB drive for you.

You can use the Clover installation of your HDD/SSD if you already have Clover installed. Or, you can try to install Clover on the actual USB driver, to make that one bootable, as well. Though I had issues with this method in the past (it's probably been fixed since then, but anyway). So I usually prefer to keep my USB installers intact, and use the Clover installation on my SSD to boot it. It will use that for future reboots anyway, after copying the installation files to the HDD/SSD.

Yes I am aware of the terminal approach but on the desktop of the image I quoted under the system information screen you will see an iMac icon with createinstallmedia label.

Also to anyone else testing Mojave arr you using one of the osxwifi + BT cards? If so does it still work natively in Mojave? As I'm looking at getting one.

Oh! I see it now. :D Sorry. I was like...what Create Install Media app? :))) Yeah, you're right. Now I see it too. Though, I have to say, it's the first time I see that app.

But...using my detective skills, and googling skills, I determined that it should be this app: https://github.com/chris1111/Create-Install-Media

As for your WiFI & BT adapter question, uhm, no, I'm not using something like that. So I can't really advise you on the matter. Though I did think about purchasing one. Not sure how useful would be...for a Desktop PC... I mean, that's pretty much what hold me back from purchasing one in the first place.

Hmm...make sure you're using the exact same Clover config as the USB drive? That would be my first idea... It sounds like they are different. If it worked fine booting from the USB drive, it should work just as well booting from the HDD/SSD.

I mean I load Clover from the USB drive and select to boot Mojave installation from HDD.

Well, make sure you boot from the same USB drive then, until you put Clover on the HDD, as well. :)

Sorry, I think I might have gotten it wrong. :) My bad.

Could you, please, remove all the serials in your config plist SMBIOS and RT variable, and upload your Clover folder for analysis? Looks like you might have a KP somewhere. Weird that the installation worked fine...

Also, try to boot in Verbose mode. See where it crashes.
