Have you seem my post about the WiFi?

If you have your WiFi adapter working OOB in previous macOS versions all you have to do is to extract the AirPortAtheros40.kext from macOS High Sierra and place it under /L/E or /S/L/E then repair the permission and reboot.

Use Kext Wizard or Kext Utility to install the kext.

AirPortAtheros40.kext.zip

Thanks Cyberdevs :

I readed your previous post but perhaps i made a mistake : :hammer: i placed the kext in Clover/kexts/other and also in S/L/E .

So i will remove it and only place the kext in /S/L/E.

You're welcome, I also tried the /EFI/Clover/kext/other but it didn't work so I copied it to /S/L/E and repaired the permission and it worked.

I got the install working by cleaning out my Clover folder and installing the bare kexts needed and using RehabMan's HD 4400 plist.

I may not have Audio nor Networking working, but this was more of a Proof of Concept to myself, and I'll get that all working in the Fall when it drops, and AthInjector is updated to work with Mojave. But i gotta say, Dark Mode with Red Accents lookin sexy af

After a few days of fiddling around with the system and finding the proper kexts, I got my AR9485 and my audio consistently working. Now all I need to do is get battery indicator working, and find a proper multitouch kext for my ALPS touchpad.

Ozmosis now have some difficult to load APFS from ROM, i already installed Mojave using Oz, but can't access that damn drive because of APFS automat conversion unless i use Clover, I'm still finding how to load it with only Oz even using bcfg it doesn't work :(  :wallbash:

Make sure you use bcfg boot addp. Plain bcfg boot add doesn't work for me.

Thanks! Battery works like a charm now, but my Alps touchpad still isn't multitouch. They must've changed something, because neither the kext you gave me nor the one I used in Sierra worked. Anyways, I'll start searching for kexts in the fall when Mojave is released, and by then, hopefully someone has made a working alps driver for it.

What i could say for you, is everything that worked on your previous hack with same hardware, should work also on Mojave! The only changes here made for Mojave to work is "Clover update, Firmware date and bios release date" everything should work, except if you did changes made by you.

Hmm.. Maybe then High Sierra broke it? I wouldn’t know because I completely skipped that release.

Where did you installed VoodooPS2Controller-R6Bronxteck.kext, also verify if you have another VoodooPS2 kext that's installed somewhere on your system?

This is simply not true, they have removed a ton of previously supported devices and also changed how things normally worked with its actual supported devices. Just because it worked in previous macOS versions does not mean it will work with Mojave.

I still have just one issue with my laptop and that is the display override. Previously I could put my venerated display data in System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides and reboot and I would be able to select a higher resolution. Laptop screen is 1366 x 768 but with the override I could use 1920 x 1080. From what I can see the folder structure is the same, the actual file itself was changed slightly and I made changes to my file to be inline with the changes but it still didn't help. This used to work in Sierra and High Sierra. I'm hoping someone else may have the same issue or at least be able to provide some help.

I'm not talking about OS changes but about what we have to do to have that Mojave works. Personally, the only changes that i've made and many of us, was only updating CLOVERX64.efi BOOTX64.efi, firmware date and bios release date! You can review the posts from the begining of this topic if you want, but this is what is did for my laptop using Clover, and what I did for my desktop using Ozmosis only bios release date and firmware date, and nothing more, except that i remember now AppleALC and wifi but nothing special that can not let the machine to boot.

And i'm speaking about already working machine, if a machine is not supported then i'm not talking about it "it's already excluded", but many things that supposed to don't work and said by apple worked here for users, Core2Quad is already running now on Mojave Hhhh

I have searched through my Hack and removed anything that pertained to PS2. I removed something like ApplePS2Nub, and good news, multitouch works! The bad news, however, is that if I want to move the pointer, I have to press hard on the trackpad, but we are getting somewhere. At least now I can enjoy the many gestures I used in Sierra.

I want to do same thing here like you, i have this 14" with 1366x768 HD 4400, and would love if i could use 1920x1080. can you share display data files, so I could try them on Mojave and High Sierra, because this small screen really don't help me when to windows or apps at the same time?

I've just installed Cuda 396.64 under macOS 10.14 Beta and it's kext loaded. The only problem here is, "No Compatible CUDA Graphics found" when I tried running CUDA-z.app, so... uhmb, forget it #atm. ^_^

You can clean install Mojave beta on an HFS partition with a patched OSInstall.mpkg (this starts core.pkg installation) ---> bypasses compatibility checks.  See post#258 in macrumors unsupported macs thread, credit to @foxlet.

After the package installer completes, copy boot.efi (from "Misc Files.zip" attachment or extract yourself from BaseSystem.dmg with Pacifist) to /S/L/CoreServices of the Mojave volume, and copy SeedEnrollment.plist file into the /Users/Shared folder with the "." prefix so it becomes a hidden system file eg if SeedEnrollment.plist is in your ~/Downloads folder, use the terminal command

cp ~/Downloads/SeedEnrollment.plist /Volumes/Mojave/Users/Shared/.SeedEnrollment.plist

Good Luck :)

Finally got trackpad fully working! Turns out I needed to use release 5 instead of 6. While I may not have good palm prevention, nor a working preference pane now, I have my gestures, and I don't have to put all my body wait on my touchpad for it to register.
