This is so weird... I used Install macOS 10.14 Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia to create the installer USB. Booted off it and then I installed the OS in the external USB disk drive. I rebooted again, using my usual clover installation in the "El Capitan" volume... booted off the external USB drive and it keeps failing with the same error... I really don't know why it's still looking for the resource files in the "El Capitan" volume... can't get it to install yet...

The error come from "El Capitan" volume.

You have more than one /Volumes/XXXXX/.IAProductInfo

You should remove all other /Volumes/XXXXX/.IAProductInfo, keep only the external USB drive with /Volumes/USB/.IAProductInfo and /Volumes/USB/macOS Install Data/

Quote

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE;\killall Finder

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE;\killall Finder

use the terminal commands to view and remove /Volumes/El Capitan/.IAProductInfo and /Volumes/El Capitan/OS X Install Data/

and you need to boot the external USB drive with /Volumes/USB/macOS Install Data/ to finish installation.

I have the same problem of Dragster27 but I'm not expert so can you explain how to make installer using "Install macOS 10.14 Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia"  (Terminal script ?)

Thank you

Show as above as Pavo's post.

And you can check the install log from installation screen top menu, you will see the error come from.

/Volumes/1014/macOS Install Data/ia.log

Only for Safari...

I use AdGuard which works on Safari, FireFox and Chrome.

Hi guys,

I've been away for few days and I missed so much :D

but finally macOS Mojave is ON!

My TP-Link WDN4800 wasn't working and I copied the AirPortAtheros40.kext from macOS High Sierra inside /System/Library/Extensions and it's working if anyone is interested.

I changed the layout ID for my ALC1150 in the DSDT from 0x01 to 0x02 and audio is also working.

Cheers!

I had to do the same thing for WiFi, but I didn't need to change audio layout, just updated AppleALC.

Mine was set to 1 in config.plist and I removed it but it wasn't working, I was using the AppleALC 1.2.4 so I figured to change the layout-id in the DSDT.

For the WiFi as you already knew Apple has removed the AirPortAtheros40.kext from the IO80211Family.kext which is typical Apple move!

I have Audio Realtec ALC286 and AppleALC does not work.
I uploaded VoodoHDA and got a sound so I normally hear the radio stations over the browser.
When I import the iTunes station's URL, I do not get the sound.
Itunes shows that the station and the song are playing, but there is no sound.

Hey Cyberdevs ^_^,

Do you confirm that AppleALC 1.2.4 is working with Mojave using only another layout-id instead of that one was working on previous OS build?

Hi :)

Yes I confirm that it is working on my ALC1150 audio codec only by changing the layout-id in DSDT, I aslo removed all the audio related injections in the config.plist. with -alcbeta -lilubetaall flags.

All you need is -lilubetaall, this flag alone enables lilu + all plugins to work on non-supported OSes.

So you didn't either used the -alcbeta -lilubetaall?

Hi

installing 10.14 beta to HDD will convert HFS+ partition to apfs ? other partition like sierra, hight sierra etc

Nope, I have 10.11.6 and 10.13 on another partitions when installing 10.14. All are fine except you manually erase them with Disk Utility.

#EDIT: But converted target partition to APFS, yes.

Actually I used both, but @Pavo says we only need -lilubetaall.

I'm gonna test without those flags and see if we still need them or not with AppleALC 1.2.4

Update:

Ok we still need -lilubetaall, without it I lose the audio.

It will be very useful for me, as i want to stick up my desktop again for Ozmosis since the last install of 10.14 on it, and because i don't want to flash the bios to much time ^_^, thanks Cyberdevs  .

But i confirm that 10.14 automatically convert also mechanical drives to APFS, even when just formatted the drive to HFS+ only.

I updated my previous post but in case you missed it we need the -lilubetaall flag with AppleALC 1.2.4, but with the next official release of lilu and AppleALC we won't be needing to use the flag.

I'm not familiar with Ozmosis so I don't know what to say :D

The reason of requesting this info is that my ROM Chip has only 64Mb, AppleALC can be resized to about 19Kb, but the last release of Lilu have 1.3Mb and its size can't be reduced. So i can't upgrade AppleALC to the latest into the ROM because of the latest lily size, i've to stay with AppleALC 1.2.4 if i need it to be on the ROM.

Ozmosis is the Bootloader of the QUO board, it's inserted into the BIOS with some files, to simplify things, it'll let you boot Apple OS without any required file on the HDD, just like a Mac ^_^.

Yeah I know that the Ozmosis is a ROM based bootloader but I never used it but thanks for the explanation anyway ;)

I have an old PC which has a mechanical HDD with 3 partitions, I previously installed macOS Sierra and High Sierra on HFS+ partitions and yesterday I installed macOS Mojave on another partition and it's automatically converted to APFS which I erased to HFS+ before installing the 10.14 and yes it's now APFS which is cool.

Ozmosis now have some difficult to load APFS from ROM, i already installed Mojave using Oz, but can't access that damn drive because of APFS automat conversion unless i use Clover, I'm still finding how to load it with only Oz even using bcfg it doesn't work :(  :wallbash:

After many problems, I managed to install on my system H81 Sapphire R9 380 with iMac Pro SMI bios:

- The first time I downloaded the MacOs installer I had an error before the first reboot

- I downloaded the MacOs installer another time in my X299 rig.

- unable to handle the boot process after successful installation with other SMBIOS than iMac Pro 1.1

- Setup has converted my hard drive test to APFS

- the sound works with WoodoHDA

- Wifi does not work

Thank you to everyone here for their help / tools / kexts and others.981793804_Loloflat6Mojavebeta100618.thumb.png.bd9b41bd59ff59f79679b96d030bb713.png

Have you seem my post about the WiFi?

If you have your WiFi adapter working OOB in previous macOS versions all you have to do is to extract the AirPortAtheros40.kext from macOS High Sierra and place it under /L/E or /S/L/E then repair the permission and reboot.

Use Kext Wizard or Kext Utility to install the kext.
