It's working on my system, and it's now turning from sunset to night slowly. Do compare my previous post with screenshot at 12:42:15 this morning with this one:

Does the FakeCPUID and recent SMBios emulation changes make fix to that issue, did you tried that?

Yep, I did. The problem is that the Q8300 does not have SSE4.2 (only SSE4.1)  as Slice mentioned.

You should use "Install macOS 10.14 Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia" to make installer, and boot installer to install Mojave.

Do not put .IAProductInfo by yourself.

Hey folks, just wondering. Does anyone have the Mojave Dynamic Desktop picture working correctly on their Hackintosh? Mine never seems to change throughout the day/night?

It doesnt work in Dark Mode. Switch back to normal mode and it will work

Is the same layout-id that you're using now worked on previous OS builds, if yes, what version of AppleALC you're using?

If no, try change layout-id with others supported for your codec-id!

What codec you have? Because if worked on previous OS builds, it should work with Mojave respectively

It is now working after a sleep/wake. Thanks! My codec is  Creative CA0132 Audio

As @crazybirdy recommended, check integrity of your installer by comparing SHA1 or MD5 of InstallESD.dmg & BaseSystem.dmg eg

MAN, are you seriously using iMac14,1 SMBios on your laptop, need to update your SMBios with latest date using clover configurator!

Any specific smbios recommended for this hardware? Haswell/Intel HD4600/Intel Core i7...

Thanks!

no need to update bios version everytime in smbios part if you use latest clover. clover compare your config bios version to clover's bios version. then determine lastest bios version.

At the moment Mojave is a no go for me, in spite of having the latest hardware, because they've dropped open GL and that's what my CAD software uses :(

Apart from the software I need to use, which has crawled to a virtual halt, it works fine. haha.

Lucky you. They changed something because my $8000 dollar software no longer works.

Well, the APPS need to be optimised to run on the new OS, not the other way around. :) So...I'm feeling confident that this will be fixed by the app manufacturer sooner or later. I really doubt that this is something that Apple removed or something. I mean, I looked at your hardware config. I'm sure there is nothing there that can't run this "$8000" software. :P But again, apps need to be updated sometimes, to run on the new OS. And that's a job for the APP developer, not the OS manufacturer.

I remember a few years ago when they released Yosemite if I'm not mistaken...almost none of the apps in the Adobe Suite would run on the new OS. They've been updated, obviously, and they run perfectly fine now. But when the OS was first released to the developers (by the way, this is exactly why Apple releases a DEVELOPER Beta in the first place, so that app developers can build and optimise their apps for the new OS before it hits final version), the apps were not optimised and they would often crash. C'est la vie! It will most likely be fixed in the future.

For example, I'm using Adobe products, and, even though they don't crash or something, they are not yet optimised for Mojave. And I'm not gonna blame Apple for this, since it's not their fault. :)) Actually, the OS even mentions that the app is not yet optimised. It's a BETA. And not just A BETA, it's the FIRST BETA. I wouldn't recommend anyone switching to it full time, unless they're ok with the downsides.

Yes you're right. So I run high sierra still. But, as a general observation, mojave is full of weird stuff. More so than other betas I've used. I've got a LOT of things like blank dialogue boxes and even in app store it often won't connect at all or comes up with glitches. I think they rushed it a bit. And my CAD software has worked fine for the last 15 years on all betas and releases but now suddenly...

It's a shame because my Archicad software version is 2 years old now. It'll cost me $4000 to upgrade to the latest which will be able to run on Mojave eventually, when they fix it.

Which will be a common theme I think. Adobe will update their software to run ok, but only the latest versions, so a lot of people will have to not only update their old hardware, but also their older software.

I've already been noticing actual Mac users wanting to hackintosh their real macs to run different SMBIOS.

Anyway, time will tell. Interesting times ahead which is the point of it all really.

It's most certainly something that has been updated/changed (not necessarily for the worse, sometimes, most of the times, it's for the better) that causes the app to crash/not work properly... Change comes unexpectedly, what can I say...

Actually, I was surprised how many things Apple changed with this release. I was expecting something more "Apple-like", meaning no big changes, some improvements and bug fixes (which, on their own, might cause other bugs...and so on so forth). But this year, they actually surprised me in a very good way, with this new release.

Obviously you don't share my opinion, and I can see why. :)) It's perfectly normal. But I'm just saying, all in all, I think this release has more good changes than bad ones. And I'm personally pretty happy with it so far.

Also, about Adobe, yes, you might be right. And...I mean, if you were Adobe, would you still focus your resources and your money on old hardware and old versions of your product? Cause...I wouldn't. I mean, obviously I'm not Adobe. :)) But...I'm just saying...sometimes, change is necessary to move forward. And, more often than not, it is a good thing.

Hi.

I realised just now that my display is being detected as a projected screen and not as the laptop display it self.

Pic attached, Only problem in graphics acceleration.

Any guesses as to why its detected as a second attached and not laptop inbuilt display. Using the same dsdt setup as high Sierra.Grab app hung up and can't seem save screen capture as it crashes. Hence the pic.

My desktop says the same thing until i install nvidia drivers, not sure how it would work for your situation though.

Like this:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.14\ beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --nointeraction

Just remember /Volumes/USB is whatever you named your USB drive. Make sure to format it prior.

This is so weird... I used Install macOS 10.14 Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia to create the installer USB. Booted off it and then I installed the OS in the external USB disk drive. I rebooted again, using my usual clover installation in the "El Capitan" volume... booted off the external USB drive and it keeps failing with the same error... I really don't know why it's still looking for the resource files in the "El Capitan" volume... can't get it to install yet...
