What makes you say that it is failing? Seems to me that you need to reboot into the installer volume to start phase 2 of the installation process edit: as of updating to 10.14 or 10.15: no chance using the 1080ti, this GPU is not supported in neither of them so you'll need to stick with your iGPU Edited September 2, 2019 by ricoc90 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thank you. As I say its been a long time since I've done an OS update on the Hackintosh, so I'd forgotten I needed to manually switch to the installer volume. I have just gone through setting up the Hack to use the iGPU rather than the Nvidia card and that is all working.
