On High Sierra everything was working, i am getting this issue only with Mojave

Are you using IntelGraphicsFixup kexts or other Lilu-based kexts? Cause you might need (in case you haven't already added that) to add -lilubetaall as boot argument (remove -alcbeta/-lilubeta if you have it) and try again.

Also, if you could remove the serial numbers from config-> SMBIOS and upload your Clover folder here (or...somewhere else, I guess, since uploads don't seem to work), that would help to have a better idea of what you're currently using.

In theory, if it worked with High Sierra, it should work (most of it) with Mojave, as well. Don't forget to update your Clover, as well. :)

I would suggest trying to boot without that custom SSDT if possible (the one in Clover/ACPI/patched), in case that's the one creating the problems.

Also, do you need all those DSDT patches in config ACPI? Cause I don't think I've ever seen so many. But hey, if you know you need them all, sure.

Also, could you please, try to replace the Lilu and AppleALC kexts with the ones here and try again?

Hey man,

I was wondering, since you have a GTX 660, do you also have any issues opening up certain images with Quick Look and Preview? Doesn't happen for screenshots and live photos, but it does happen for images like wallpapers and stuff. Also, it does not occur with the iGPU.

I don't have the iGPU enabled. haven't managed to Ever git it and my discreet GPU to play nice, and yes, I can preview PDF's and word docs, and many other files, but if I try to preview a PNG or a JPG all I get is spinning wheel in the frame, like it got lost and can't find the file.

Hi

1 - I can't no more sign in to insanelymac forum since Mojave Beta 2/ Safari 12-----> error 404 when I want to sign

2 - Apple update appleAHCI kext form 329.50 to 329.200 ------> High Sierra's Hot-Plug patch work but slowly

3 - Sound effect: no more sound for empty trash since Beta 2

Any ideas, please

Thanks

the same 404 Error is happening in Both Sierra and High Sierra, I believe it is due to a forum change where they changed the topic ID or how that information is cached.

I'm not using a helper card, my RX 580 is set to primary and I only use iGPU for hardware Encoding Support for editing videos.
I'm using analog Audio but the HDMI audio option is also available.

About the audio and video issue that I mentioned they don't playback with QuickLooks only. Do the quick look open those type of files on your rig?
Do you have anything plugged into your iGPU? As well as GPU? With iGPU enabled in bios Mojave boots to grey screen. May I see your config for iGPU.

Thanks buddy, yeah I'm missing inject intel and ig-platform-id. I just figured by now it would be native.

You're welcome dude :)

In High Sierra there was no need to InjectIntel+ig-platform-id but somewhere along the way something has changed. I remember being able to boot into macOS without the injection but I guess it was before 10.13.4 (if I'm not mistaking)

No, my E8400 is still dead on beta 2. I think it will be dead forever.:wallbash:

Can you finish the installation on another (supported) system and boot it afterwards on your E8400?

Hi Guys,

Everything except graphics acceleration works , attempted to use nvidia Tesla  10.13.6 kexts but no change, they simply don't load.

Any way of doing that, thats the only thing left, rest works.

Regards

Yes, works fine with 10.12.6, 10.13.5 without any issue.

--

Same hdd partition with Mojave, works fine with i3-2100, dead with E8400, you mean this?

Even test with the same GT640, but E8400 is always dead.

I have no ideal of what's wrong with E8400 except the lack of SSE4.2 support.

Can't make it run on my Q9550 either, it just panics. I am unable to catch on what it panics exactly, but the last line before the panic mentions something among the lines of "timed out on CPU X",  where X can be 1, 2 or 3. I think it's due to SSE4.2. If so, hopefully someone will come up with a SSE4.2 emulator once the GM is released... :worried_anim:

Correct me if I am wrong, but any CPU after Nehalem has SSE4.2, right? So basically only Core2's and the pre-Nehalem Xeons are lacking this instruction set
