Thank you very much! I actually don't care if there are any special key combinations that won't work with this approach. I can live with a password that does not contain any obscure characters and I don't need to enter any commands, either. I just want to be able to restart the laptop without having to connect an external USB hard drive AND have the laptop encrypted.

So once again, thank you very much for your work!

Thank you Jief_Machak

The version shared on 3-June worked for me. I was locked out of my Lenovo T480 - I could access the file vault login screen with a working mouse pointer, but could not type using laptop keyboard or USB keyboard. I put the file on my bootable USB with clover and then booted into the Filevault Preboot volume offered at the clover boot menu. When the filevault login screen loaded, I was able to enter my password and login to my user account.

From here - I think I will revert back and no longer use Filevault on my hackintosh.

Hi, I have not checked it out yet, but does it work similarly to our AptioInputFix (https://github.com/vit9696/AptioFixPkg/tree/master/Platform/AptioInputFix) except proxies some other interface? If so, does it work with mac hotkeys (cmd+r, cmd+s, 3+2, and so on)? It was one of the hardest parts when I proxied the AMI protocol, and it is still very imperfect.

I got the hotkey it work with AptioInputFix(and also the AppleKeyFeeder) by the way(cmd+v, cmd+r, cmd+s) except Alt and Shift

I have similar problem when I try to use Qemu/KVM with FileVault2 (FV2). I hack AptioInput fix to poll conIn and I can get password entry on OVMF. Should work for vmware as awell.

Please find source here: https://bitbucket.org/timmycook/virtioinputdxe

and compiled binary in https://bitbucket.org/timmycook/virtioinputdxe/raw/a16ff573bc688e14f3751c1a82e9e83df2f74029/VirtioInputDxe.efi

Actually I didn't bother cleaning up all the mess, I took {censored} from all over the place stuck it together.

Strange you couldn't use a USB keyboard (didn't you unplug and replug once Clover is booted ?)

Well, no it's working, you shouldn't stop using FV2 :-)

3rd verion bis !

Don't know what happened. I completely rebuild edk2/Clover with xcode. I tested and double check it works on my laptop.

@ar4er When you said delay, you mean delay between keystrokes ? If yes, this version should be better.

AppleKeyFeeder.efi

@ar4er Did you get a chance to try this last version ? Does it work ?

The topic is about PS2 keyboard while virtual machine uses virtual keyboard. Sorry it must be separate topic.
