also, did you Remove AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext and AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext

when you tried the dsdt that had patches for trackpad?

you said your device dissapeared. but i see it in ioreg working.

try this after you deleted the above kexts from system/library/extensions and rebuilt cache

Hello @onejay09 yes I did delete AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext and AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext, but I didn't say that my device disappeared I said it was detected in the system pref pane, but I had no input anyway I'm currently outside and will try the sleep and touchpad fixes and report any progress, btw: do you have working gestures (two finger scrolling etc), if so is your touchpad ELAN1200?

Thanks!

you should delete voodoohda.kext and applehdadisabler.kext as youve got applealc.kext which is the best option.

also the ioreg you sent was without voodoo patches.

personally i think you should do a fresh install and keep the clover setup.

as youve got a lot of stuff you shouldnt have.

Hello @onejay09 I did a fresh install and now the audio is working with AppleALC (jack sense now works!) but internal mic doesn't, and the display was detected without the injector but the brightness was the same among all levels, so I patched it again but then I had no backlight control at all (display still detected)?! so I then copied the old buggy patched AppleBacklight and the injector from a time machine I did before the fresh install and now it is back to what it was (same issues) here is the ioreg with the buggy kext, thanks!

you only need the injector not the applebacklight.kext, i hope you backed up the vanilla kext.

dont do anymore things to the setup, not without someones help, ie me. ask before you do it so im not cleaning up your mess again.

Oh, well that explains a lot :hysterical: , yes I did back it up so I should add the vanilla backlight kext and the injector to S/L/E right?

yes just the injector, i connects to your displays product id and loads applebacklight and injects properties for your display.

im back in work tonight so i will be available to help more.

you may look at config.plist and delete fake cpuid as you might not need it, it may affect sleep if its still not working right

currently you inject plugin type 1 with clover for cpu PM. thats ok.

btw MacBookPro14,3 is same proccessor

i7 7700hq

what smbios do you use?

EDIT: nvm I found it under kernel and kexts to patch but its empty?

Btw does the backlight level under system parameters have anything to do with the 4 extra backlight levels I'm having (apparently my display has only 12 but I get 16)

So I did as you asked vanilla + injector and now I have no brightness control (slider or in the pref pane) but the display is still detected?

no the backlight in config.plist is so you dont boot with a black screen, as brightness will set to 0 at boot without it.

the 4 extra levels can be fixed by changing the values used in the injector, lets get it working first.

hows the config.plist?

It's great the smbios is now mbp 14,3

Btw the injector from the time machine (pre fresh install) works but the newly patched one from fresh install doesn't
