Guest
@obus I did some test for you You have an hang there because you have an option actvated to do not reboot on panic I am pretty sure you will pass that KP only using kernel patch I shared in previous config.plist (it was known as piker alpha reboot fix) without it..my old xeon hangs in same way!;) Edited March 14, 2018 by Guest

I tested in 4 different USB ports USB 2.0 and 3.0. In think the problem is that I get a kp straight after preeboot. preboot.log

joedm ru
@surfinchina, well, perhaps Gaming 9 has it unlocked. But I spent days with Gaming 3 trying to figure out why sleep mode goes panic on wake until I applied Pike's patch preventing writing to that MSR. I tested with your config.plist, efi drivers and only three kext ( FakeSMC.kext ,SmallTree-Intel-211-AT-PCIe-GBE.kext ,TSCAdjustReset.kext) First I tested with only "xcpm_core_scope_msrs © Pike R. Alpha"-patch and then I tested with only "xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha"-patch. Booth tests failed with a KP. This is the text in preboot.log after test one and two: 19:538 0:000 - [00]: xcpm_core_scope_msrs © Pike R. Alpha :: [OS: 10.12 | MatchOS: All | MatchBuild: no] ==> allowed by OS 19:538 0:000 - [01]: xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. That's where MSR 0xE2 is used as well. Any thoughts? preboot_2.log preboot_1.log Edited March 16, 2018 by obus
Guest
It seems from your log msr program patch is not allowed this patch should allow you to pass +++++ step if you can try to delete in matchos 10.13.x and leave it blank you should also restore a no patched biis if you are using a patched one Edited March 16, 2018 by Guest

Please clarify what you mean. Delete what/where? I'm not using a patched bios for the moment. As I understand it I need TSCAdjustReset.kext for a non patched bios. Do I need anything else? Guest
I see different disk with an EFI on it To install you do not need of a special iMac version but for your cpu it is advised then to have it Could you try to boot with only USB pen attached? OS 10.12 I see in your log is very weird.. maybe there is a mixing of things in your boot sequence
