Hey @fabiosun!

Trying to install Mojave 10.14.x beta on my rig sadly without success.

Kernelpanic after "end random seed +++++++++++++++++++++"

tried booth with USB stick and a working installation from my old MacMini TB disk carbon copied to a spare drive on my Xeonrig.

Any ideas?

Hi @oSxFr33k

I'm not really sure what you want me to do and why. Could you please explain/elaborate what you looking for?

I already have an option in bios to enable or disable MSR 0xE2.

Ok I think I know what you are looking for and I will check with AMIBCP if CFG lock is enabled or disabled

I was reading all the threads and I assumed you did not have that option to disable CFG lock and since you do you can ignore my post.  It was meant to use only if you do not have that option in Bios because it hidden to the user.  I thought it was you or there was mention that Asus enabled CFG lock and there was no option to disable it.  My post is only useful to motherboards that have CFG lock enabled and option hidden in Bios.  The earlier Bios versions for the Asus  X299 board for example had CFG lock enabled and no option to disable it so I thought your earlier Bios version had this same issue and apparently all of your Bios versions have the CFG Lock option available and it is disabled by default so you can ignore my post above.

As far as I can see that does not indicate you had a Kernel Panic rather something with AptioMemoryFix or one of the OsxAptioFixDrv-64 drivers is not working correctly with your Aptio Bios.  I can confirm your Aptio Bios version is version 4 and one of those Aptio drivers should work for you, that was the problem you had a while back so how did you finally resolve getting past ++++++++++++++++.

We solved that with kernelpatch " xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha" and fake Cupid 0x0506E4. I still need booth for booting 10.13.6 but it dosen't work for Mojave 10.14.x.

I've already tried with all the different aptio driver including AptioMemoryFix without success.

Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

I could be wrong but for now compress (zip) those untitled folders in case you need them later then delete the untitled folders and remove 10.13 and 10.14 kext folders, just have "other".  That probably won't fix the issue but I would not have replicate kext files in a folder under the root of a folder.

Install the latest clover make sure you are choosing the correct options, according to KGB guide.

I would verify the KernelToPatch for " xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha" has not changed for the Mojave Kernel.

Problem solved!

Changed kernel patch " xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha" to "xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs © Pike R. Alpha" and checked "Kernel PM" (old x99 patch) and that did the trick. Still using FakeCpuId 0x0506E4. Everything is working fine now after fresh installation with working sleep.

Did as you recommended and deleted all untitled folders plus the 10.3 and 10.14 folders.

Now happy again and thank's for all support.

hi @obus

sorry for delay in answer but I was on my Holiday!:)

I see you solved, maybe kernel patch you were using before is changed in Moyave

I can't test because my new cpu does need any patches for kernel or fakecpuid stuff

Hi all again.

New problems for my rig. Any help appreciated from the forum.

Can't install new nor update my old Mojave Beta 4 (18A336e) installation.

Something changed in the last version of Mojave Beta 6 (build 18A353d). Both kernel patches "xcpm_program_msrs (c) Pike R. Alpha and  "xcpm_pkg_scope_msrs © Pike R. Alpha" wich previously worked with HighSierra respectively earlier builds of Mojave seems now to be obsolete. Now once again stuck at "end random seed +++++++++++++++++++++".

Tried all different combination with AptioMemoryfix, OSXAptioFixDrv and OsxAptioFix2 and 3Drv. Tried with FakeCPUID.kext in all sorts of combination with and without kernelPM checked.

I'm out of energy and just tired for the moment.

Any ideas?

when you stuck at this point, the kernel could not be loaded and causes a panic/halt.

I know this situation with my X99 system. This happens always when the kernel calls a specific register of your CPU or a resource in Bios/Motherboard.

for my X99, it was a problem with 2 or 3 msr calling of the xcpm routines when i disabled Piker Alphas xcpm patches.

I had do disable some msr.

Hi @SammlerG

Please suggest your own method for checking, detecting and fixing (if confirmed)
