It is need wen you have not patched bios. You can extract ACPI tables in clover menu and send it. Press F4 and they will be in Clover>ACPI>original. May by we will found some information there. Also press F2 and boot.log will be write  in Clove>Misc

Hallo Mattthew82 and jaraheel.

Tried your last EFI respectively config.plist/TSCAdjust kext without success.

It seems everything is loading according to the preboot.log.

I  can read in the log "Custom boot screen not used because entry has unset use graphics" what's that.,could it be something with the graphics?

If I use my RX Vega 56  or my GTX 680 no difference.

This time the log shows that disk volume is set up:

16:878  0:005  SetStartupDiskVolume:
16:878  0:000    * Volume: 'Install macOS High Sierra'
16:878  0:000    * LoaderPath: '\.IABootFiles\boot.efi'
16:878  0:000    * DevPath: Install macOS High Sierra
16:878  0:000    * GUID = 02B7273F-D02C-426C-A620-3C9B0462CCF3
16:881  0:002    * efi-boot-device: <array><dict><key>IOMatch</key><dict><key>IOProviderClass</key><string>IOMedia</string><key>IOPropertyMatch</key><dict><key>UUID</key><string>02B7273F-D02C-426C-A620-3C9B0462CCF3</string></dict></dict></dict></array>
16:882  0:000  Custom boot screen not used because entry has unset use graphics
16:884  0:002  Closing logpreboot.log

are you getting a kernel panic at boot attempt?

In your BIOS settings:

Disable the network adapters

In the CPU Configuration/CPU Power Management Configuration/:

disable the EIST

Set autonomous core C-states to enabled

Set enhanced halt state to enabled

Set CPU C6 report to enabled

Set Package C-State to C6(non retention)

disable the Intel SpeedShift technology

set MFC mode override to OS Native

In your EFT/Clover/kexts/Other

try removing all kexts and have just the FakeSMC, and TSCAdjustReset

Hi SammlerG!

Thank's for your help......

Tested with your config.plist without success.

I have never been in this situation and this is my fifth hackintosh since 2012. I have never been stucked just before boot. I don't no if it's kernel panic or something else.

Normaly something crash or stop loading but in this case I have no clue.

I created my USB install media on my Mac mini following KGP:s instruction here:

Is it a better or safer way to do it?

I've already have a disk with working iMac Pro installation from my other rig  (Kabylake z270 setup). I've tried to boot on that with the same result as with my USB-stick.

This is so funny and weird. Is there another way to create the installer?

Ok.

Booted with SMBIOS mac Pro6.1 (board id  Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6 plist attached) Exact same behaviour.

preboot.log

config.plist

A few times the boot has stalled there for me because that USB port has stopped. Simple and you might have thought of it, but try a few different ports. Another thing that helped me sometimes was different  OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi versions and once setting different slide values.

I feel your pain. When I did this on my X299 it was before anyone else and it took quite a while...

You should remove as much as you can and then add kexts, drivers and patches, rather than removing them. Otherwise you end up chasing your tail.

My config.plist has pretty well no patches and it works nicely. I'll attach it just in case it helps :)

Cheers Surfinchina.

How do I change slides and what exactly is it. Is it memory/NVRAM related! I was thinking it perhaps could have something to do with my ECC SDRAM memory.

Are you using the MSR 0xE2 register UEFI-patch. I'm not sure about this patch I mean if it works on my mobo. I initially patched my bios with the one I found on KGP:s excellent skylake-guide. But now I'm not sure if I can use that so I went back to use TSCAdjustReset.kext and PikeRAlphas kernel patch. Is there a generic patch for all ASUS - boards?

Ok.

So i stripped down everything on my rig. Just using USB-keyboard/mouse,Nvidia GTX 680 graphics card, a clean 240 GB Samsung ssd and only one 16 GB ram.

Using attached config.plist and this time Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext for the graphics. FakeSMC.kext, TSCAdjustReset.kext and SmallTree-Intel-211-AT-PCIe-GBE.kext for my ethernet.

Unfortunately with the same result as earlier "End random seed" +++++++++++++++++++++++

In the Q-code table I can see that the system get stucked on 04 or "system is entering S4 sleep state". Could this maybe shed some light over my problems?

During the day I tried at least 10 different releases of AptioMemoryFix.efi. For me with only basic knowledge it's most about t trial and error but this a little bit harder.

Starting to get a little bit frustrating now. I'am 66 years old and have all the time in the world on daytime (my wife is still working so...) but you know it's always good to see some progress. Any creativity out there? This is the hackintosh set up for the future so the problem must be solved.

I'm not using the MSR patch. The Gigabyte boards thankfully don't need them.

The slide is in the boot arguments and in clover you have the choice of slide=0 or no slide. You can set different numbers in slide though, in the custom flags. If you google it you'll get how to calculate slide :)

While you're in boot arguments you might as well go through experimenting with some of the others.

What you need is to get past the + signs. First steps lol.

Sorry, but could it be simply that you have a wrong graphical boot setting?
I think it doesn't open the Clover graphical interface!

I see you have 4k setting...do you have a 4k monitor??

Try to reset to default:
