Read all I got in the forum, and try many things, but don't get HighSierra installed at my device. My Hardware: Optiplex 990 i5-2500k Bios A24 NVidia GT 220 Samsung EVO 850 SSD The Issue: I run the High-Sierra installer and first I recreate the partition (tried both APFS and MAC OS Extended (Journaled). But even if I close the Partition-Tool, start the Installer and open the Install-Log (before I click on the first Install-Stelp), I see some messages like: iMac osinstallersetupd[587]: Target is not convertible to APFS: This Volume is not Mac OS Extended (Journald) If I format the Disk as APFS, the next Line is: isConvertableToAPFS: was called on a APFS disk. Then some lines later I see: Warning: Couldn't find boardID, chipID, & ECID in new namespace, falling back Then I run the Installer ("Next-Step Button) and run the install-process. Here is a Video, what's the output of the log is. https://youtu.be/AG4kwTlemvg And after short time, the PC reboots. At the next reboot, cloverscreen have 3 entries. My USB-Installer, and two APFS- One is named Install Prebooter from Preboot, the other Install from HighSierra. If I start the Install from HighSierra, I get a message, macOS could not be installed at your computer If I open the log, there are errors like Couldn't mount diskimage, and Failed to open installer document And here is a screenshot of my Folder-Structure of the Installer-Stick. Because I thought, the SSD might be the cause of the error, I even try an hdd. But got the same error. I hope, anybody can help me. It's my first try to get a hackintosh to run, and I thought I had wisely choosed my Harddware. But I'm at the end. Have no clue what else I could try. video not available share the complet EFI you have using

socam77
I've replaced my /EFI at USB-Stick with yours. Thats the results: Booting -v show the output at booting-time at the Moment the GUI is loaded, the Screen becomes light, and the Fan of the GT 220 stops (or runs slower) You can't see anything at the screen, but only that it's light gray (even not the mousepointer). You can wait as long you wan't nothing else happend. So I tried to put Nvidia to vesa-mode. That starts the GUI in right way. After this, I'd do like before: Remove partition Create a new one. Start the installer. But installation abort like before. Here the Video:

socam77
I did this, that was what I meant with put Nvidia to VESA-Mode. If I choose nv_disable=1, I'm able to run the installer, else I only see an lighted-screen without anything on it (even not the mouse-pointer)

socam77
Ok, if I remove Inject Nvidia, the Installer GUI didn't appear. On loading the Installer, the system only reboot. Should I fully remove the NVidia-Card for the install-process?

socam77
I use the HDMI-Port of the graphics-card. The Optiplex 990 doesn't has an integrated hdmi-port as far as I can see.

socam77
I've searched the web and forums arround, and found, that GT 220 even should be supported very good. The pitty is, I don't have a Display-Port Cable, only HDMI: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Definition_Multimedia_Interface And this doesn't fit in there. But do you think it's caused of the graphics-card... even if the errors are thrown notice for the apfs-filesystem at the harddrive?

Using AppleALC device ID 15, with MacPeets Dell T20 patch. Everything is working except HDMI audio. I am having a heck of a time not getting stripes on my 9020, could I get your config.plist? as well as drivers list or something? thanks!! In a PM or on here.. socam77
@chris1111 I don't have i5-2500k like you, mine is i5-2400k 3,1 Ghz, which has an HD2000 https://ark.intel.com/products/52207/Intel-Core-i5-2400-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz But anyway, I found a trick. I've booted with your EFI, then the screen comes light. Wait...wait...wait, the screen comes darker and stay this way (nevertheless how long you wait). So I've unplugged and replugged the HDMI-Cable and I see the Installer now (Language-Selection). (BTW, in really nice high-resolution) But bad news is, that there is still the "device is not convertible to APFS" error. So what could I try next to try? socam77
Download didn't work for full-download, but only the 22MB installer. So I start the installation and first Step of Installer is to download the stuff. Before starting the real installation-Process I quit the installer. Than I've created a Package on CLI described here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372 Do you think the Install-ISO might me broken? Should I try to create an new ISO and try again? BTW: Might my Hardware also work with Mojave
