39thRonin
Prasys; Just wanted to take the time to let you know how much I appeciate you building this script. I just used it to upgrade to semthex's latest, and it was fast, secure (love the builtin backup!), and fully operational. Great job!

Rammjet
The kernel is the basic brain of the operating system. It is created by Apple but only for real Macs. In order to run it on a Hackintosh, it needs to be hacked and patched. For quite a while, the only patched kernel was 8.4.1 from 10.4.4. But recently, several people have managed to patch the 8.8.1 kernel from 10.4.8. And privately, the kernel from the previews of Leopard have been patched. This is good news that means we should get a nearly fully working Leopard after it gets released. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_%28computer_science%

Rammjet
beta8 is the most recent SSE3 kernel. The "final" kernel has not been released. Only the source code was released.
