Oh well, one week of more power consumption then lol (that is, if they fix this issue until next release). But at least iMovie seems to work now with the RX480, on 10.13.1 it wouldnt save files.. Guest Posted November 6, 2017 Share Posted November 6, 2017 Update went fine I did in this way without disinstallng web driver Instal beta 2 reboot and finish automatic installation when beta 2 login appear I have executed Gengis84 script to patch plist (NvidiaWebStartup) then reboot then web driver is active no Nvidia web driver disinstallation need Grazie Giacomo! I downloaded the update from the appstore while the update was downloading I replaced NVDARequiredOS in NVDAStartupWeb.kext with 17C67b and fixed kext permissions then I installed the update and once finished, booted with functional nvidia webdrivers EDIT: Update also went without problems on my Probook: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fantomas Posted November 7, 2017 Share Posted November 7, 2017 @Badruzeus Just a little feedback - To my knowledge CUDA-Z only checks current os native driver version installed (used or not) which in your case is 355.11.10.10.20.111, while CUDA's Panel is only showing current nvidia driver version used (if not used, then is showing 'No Version found'), it could be os native driver or web driver, it depends on which one you're using. OpenGL Viewer is showing (as you can guess) the current Nvidia OpenGL driver version used by the current renderer (your graphics card) - These two do not need to have the same bundle version, I guess only a few of them have ben updated, nothing abnormal. The OS assumes the web driver, but behaves as if it had not installed, without acceleration. When nvidia released the first WebDrivers for 10.13, I also had no acceleration. Some others reported similar issues too back then... this was fixed in the next version they released. Got this one for $250 though—not worth the $300+ they usually cost IMO. Just a shame 10.13 won't boot it faster. I read again the patch for NVMe (from Piker's blog) and It's only for macOS Sierra. I didn't notice this point.
