Still stuck on 17C79a. I was so happy to get here as I thought updating the fakesmc was the resolve -- still get missing package. tried date -v -2H "=%Y-%m-%dT%H:%SZ" but still stating that the osinstall package appears to be missing or damaged. I removed EMU, and am using AMD so no web drivers here - what else can I do? last time I removed lilu and whatever green - I'm on clover 4318 and have tried with and without the pram plist.

try this with emuvariableuefi + rc script(nvram.plist)

1. replace files from fix2.zip

2. delete macOS Install Data folder in root. then download beta5 from appstore again.

3. try install

OSInstall error fix2.zip

hmm.. be confused for report

How I understand you Sherlocks! I was also surprised...

Maybe, and I say this without being sure, if the normal update is made through the App Store as an update, the problem does not occur. Maybe it only happens if the total download of the OS is done ... I do not know! ??

have to say this, the current state of High Sierra, in my opinion is pretty crappy. I did the update today and it froze on the end of booting all though it was booting perfectly after the update. I decided to go back to Sierra because there are WAY TO MANY bugs everywhere in this release! and every release before it! I constantly have to leave safari and use GOOGLE for God's sake to use some websites due to the strange bugs in it that don't exist in Sierra's Safari that still work perfectly. Not to mention just little quirky bugs like wanting passwords to link to the internal network even though you clicked the "remember me" BS it don't remember Jack or {censored} but it remember perfectly in Sierra. I could probably go on for f'n hours about the total failure of this OS but the coupe de grace is apfs that in my opinion makes NTFS look frickin great! Finally. I am no sure what NEW and IMPROVED thing where added to High Sierra to make me want to suffer through ALL the other little BS problem that exist. Anyways going back to 10.12.6. BTW, my wife does not like that I up graded her iMac, ;-(

I found something interesting

I reverted back to 10.13.1 using the latest lilu and whatevergreen

And my old efi and old prekernal and sleep/wake worked.

This makes me think that the latest lilu and whatevergreen is not the issue...

I’m on ryzen with rx 580

thank you tried that, still no joy. beta 4 update had the same issue but started working ... I guess try again?

of course its not the issue, I've linked this link before (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/10-13-2-beta-experience-with-rx-vega.2083168/page-2). People with MacPros using rx480, 580 have issues with sleep on the 10.13.2 beta (and it seems its still not fixed in beta 5)

also..

I’m going to update and test when I get home

On beta 4 if you use Damian frame buffer and inject Ati

Sleep/wake works

...but havent tested it yet myself. I've got tired of having unstable machines and am just gonna stay on 10.13.0 for now.

yes emu variable is present. which clover log?

It's strange indeed! As I said before, to test, this time I did the update purposely with Emu and RC scripts and everything went perfectly.

Do you have the new firmware and firmware mask values for your smbios updated in your plist?

And please, create a signature with your hardware! Help you and anyone who wants to help you ?
