Wuffty
I've being trying for weeks to install OSX in a system with that type of mobo. How did you do it? Thanks I am sorry, it tooks me longer than I thought it would. I used the Uphuck 1.4i r2 install dvd (thanks to the uphuck-team for this great work !!!) for installing OSX on my Asrock with the following installation options: v1.4i Main-System (of course ;-) Patches - loginwindow 10.4.4 - Remove CPUPowermanagement kext - remove Thermal kexts Drivers: - VGA - NVidia - Natit 0.1 - AGPGart - AGPGart V1.1 - System - ICH8, ICH6 - VIA SATA/ATA - NTFS-3G - ext2fs - Network - Realtek R1000 (for my Realtek Network IFC) - VIA Rhine (for onboard network IFC) and all the applications My HD is an PATA HD hanging on the first channel together with an LG cdrom on the second channel. You must format the HD with a (MBR) master boot record (see partition/options in diskutil) That works for me out of the box, even with my AGP Asus NVidia 6200 You can mail me, if I can help. Edit: What I've forgotten: I used the AppleHDAPatcher 1.6 not the Azalia Audiodriver, that worked better for me (especially dig out) Cheers, Udo
carbo18
Tried the AppleHDA Patcher 1.16 with the attached codec dump but no dice on kernel 8.10.1. It seemed to work, as it found the soundcard but when I reboot still no sound. Any ideas? I have a Sigmatel 9221 A1 from what I can tell. codec.txt
AkshayGenius
Hi guyz, I am planning to install jas x86 10.4.8 ppf1 + ppf2 on my laptop which has conextent AMC audio. After painfully waiting for a week for the download to get over (don't know why it took so much time), Ive decided Ill download all the drivers before hand. Considering the fact, Im downloading 10.4.8, which version should I download? The jas disc Im downloading also comes with a update to 10.4.9, is it recommended to upgrade to that? It will be highly appreciated if someone answers my questions as Im fairly very new to this OS. Thanx, Akshay

I have conextent AMC audio, which Im going to run with Azalia or Conextent HD Audio drivers... Thanx, Akshay
rytterfalk
I'm using AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16 with the SigmaTel STAC9227 according to Intels homepage for D975XBX2 Audio Intel® High Definition Audio subsystem in one of the following configurations: 8-channel (7.1) audio subsystem with five analog audio outputs and two S/PDIF digital audio outputs (coaxial and optical) using the Sigmatel* 9274D audio codec 6-channel (5.1) audio subsystem with three analog audio outputs using the Sigmatel 9227 audio codec I tried several ways of getting sound to work without any luck. (I installed some ALC888 / 882 driver, hehe.. but that was before I realized that I could go to intels homepage to see what audiocard I had) I did get sound for some time, but no Mic. And now I get this message when trying to update: AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 Taruga v1.16 _______________________________________________________ Codec : \f0\fs24 \cf0 SigmaTel STAC9227\ Vendor Id : 0x83847618\ Subsystem Id : 0x80862113\ _______________________________________________________ * Detected unsupported \f0\fs24 Codec What to do!! szzs
SIGMATEL Stac 9200 - NO MIC My laptop is a Packard Bell Easy Note (Intel T5200/950/SIGMATEL Stac 9200....) I used AppleHDA patch 1.6 and tried ALL the sigmatel 9200 / Stac txt, but I have only audio out! In the system preferences the Internal Built-in Mic is mentioned as "no input control"... So there is no input in the built in mic nether through jack-input... Also there is no WEBcam... May the two thing connected?

swindlerborealis
Akshay, as for upgrading to 10.4.9, this is not the right topic to discuss it in, there are many topics about upgrading and jas installation, search for them. as for conexant, I don't have this particular brand but I'm assuming that there are many varieties of them in which case it would help if you got more detailed information on it and then searched this topic and others as well until you get a fairly good idea on the status of it. Then, if after searching you still do not have a reliable answer post detailed information about your audio and mobo. As for waiting to collect drivers before installing, I wouldn't worry about it, the hda patcher and codec files are very small and shouldn't slow you down much at all and it would help to have everything ready to go so that when someone gives you an answer you can test it out right away and post back here with the results. AkshayGenius
Okay, I was asking abt upgrading to 10.4.9 because the latest version of apple HDA is only compatible with .9, so I though it may have some extra compatibility. Well, I guess the only way I'll get to know is by actually installing it and using it for a some time....
jjduro
why do ppl completely ignore my comments, as if they are completely oblivious to them!.... I Maybe your just suffering the same problems as all of us. First of all, what are you system specs? You can check them out with CPU-Z. Secondly, in most cases, JaS DVD will quitte suffice. And you can upgrade even to 10.4.10. I'm not sure which version of Taruga's patcher you should download, but why not start with the latest? If that doesn't work, try the one before than and so on. Got it? Next time, do a forum search before posting yor comments. Ok? Now go and check yor system specs. Take care
