yeah that fixed it. I got azelia working on my alc861.

What is weird is that it only works with device id from alc882!

I tried AppleHDA thing but it failed. AppleHDA is loading fine but no sound, and it doesn't show up in sysprofiler.

Need a hand, desperately!

I can't get my ALC861 working, no matter what I try.

I've done every tutorial I've found, I've tried everything T__T

HELP! What did you do?

I've tried the new 1.16 patcher. And it doesn't work with Alc861. It patches all rigth, but after the reboot there's no sound, no devices. No nothing

Taruga says this patcher is intended for systems with X 4.9, which probably means you should use the 8.9.1 kernel.

It looks like all work on OSX is stopping.

Hi guys,

currently I have sound from AppleAzalia.kext, but no sound input (mic, line in).

I was trying the 1.15 and 1.16 patchers, but for some reason, when trying to do a kextload for AppleHDA, I get some version incompatibility with IOHDA something kext.

This on OS x 10.4.9 with 8.9.1 kernel.

I think probably I messed up something with the original AppleHDA.kext. I'm trying to avoid reinstall everything from scratch

Device ID's: 0x10ec0882 (ALC882) and 0x27088086 (Intel HDA)

Could please somebody post a AppleHDA kext which is working with ALC882 on a P5LD2VM/C board, with 10.4.9 OSX, 8.9.1 kernel?

I'm back.

So I've tried Taruga's solution for HDA pathing under 10.4.9. unfortunately I didn't succeed.

Here's what I did:

clean install of 10.4.7. Upgrade to 10.4.9.

Put up Apple HDA patcher 1.16 with ALC882 linux dump.

When I try kextloading AppleHDA.kext, I get this error:

14AppleHDAEngine is not compatible with its superclass, 13IOAudioEngine superclass changed?

kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension AppleHDA.kext/

load failed for extension AppleHDA.kext/

(run kextload with -t for diagnostic output)

If I check System Profiler, I get this for AppleHDController:

AppleHDAController:

and for IOHDAFamily this:

What to do now???? (XCuse my impatience...)

I've got a Intel D945GNT Board, 945 chipset with Sigmatel 9223 audio and I've tried patcher versions 1.14, 1.15, 1.16. When I follow the instructions I get a "You need to reboot your system" message. I'm runnin the 10.4.8 JaS image with the kernel that came on the disk. (Fresh Install using 10.4.8). Any suggestions?

Taruga

Thanks for the patches!, but they don't work on my system: Mac Os 10.8.4, 8.8.1

MB: Asus p5ld2 se, Core 2 Duo, ADI1986A

Codec#0 is attached.

The solution that works for my audio OUTPUT is here:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...&hl=adi1986

(AppleAzalia). And it works for OUTPUT only - no audio in or mic in.

Looking forward for the new version

With the AppleHDAPatcher 1.16 I finally got sound on 10.4.9!

Thanks so much Taruga.

For others with Asus P5W DH DeLuxe motherboard who don't want to do 7 re-installs like me:

Install Jas 10.4.8_ppf1_ppf2 (select only intel kernel and AppleAzalia kext, all other unchecked)

Install Jas.10.4.9.combo.update.intel.sse3

Copy newest kernel (from irc.osx86.su #1049) to /mach_kernel

Run Disk Utility to repair permissions

Reboot

Download AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16 and this file: http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/rea..._0x1043e601.txt

Drop ALC882_0x1043e601.txt on AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16 icon and follow instructions

Reboot

Install video driver

Reboot

Done, enjoy fully functional apple Ihac
