elviejo
Some thoughts about the ALC880, I found the AppleHDA.kext from 10.4.8 don't work with ALC880 in any way, so, probably, the one to be modified is the one from 10.4.3; can the Dev take a look on this?. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JaS 10.4.8 reseeded DVD. Ezhoon
Is your audio controller chip a VIA? If so, you will see he disabled VIA and will fix it next. MarkW
I'm a little confused. I have an Intel D915GAG, and I thought I had ALC861. Well, I looked in device manager in Windows, and it tellls me I have 880. Is 880 the same as 861? Will the solution you guys are working on work for me, too? Currently, with Azalia, I have the sound out but no sound in.

Hey, have you tried this kext: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=249727 It is for 9223, but I think it works for 9220 too. It is not perfect yet, but at least outputs sound through the correct jack. Credits to Skippyretard...

CLiDE FTW!!1
I also have a ConroeXfire as with several people in this thread. The ConroeXfire uses onboard ALC888 ICH7. I've tried everything in this thread (Yes, I've actually looked through all 21 pages) and have had no success. Anyone else with this board that has a solution? giandal
This is weird. I can control my headset volume (and separately the main volume) with the keyboard since v0.2 and I have the same motherboard. I have the same problem with the front mic, though I did not try replacing the nodeid... at least, not yet! Following Taruga's suggestion and replacing 24 with 25 in the appropriate place I got front mic working, but now I have Kasper's problem: the keyboard does not control my headset volume anymore... Kasper: Do you still have this problem? How did you solve it?
