sound works : HD audio output (and sounds great)

All sliders:volume, l/R, and buttons ok

no input , tried to put in a microphone and hoped that some autosensing would do the trick

but NO till now........

Maybe i will try the other options but for now i am very happy :)

happy h(M)acking

Hey evry1..

Successfully runnung Ideneb1.3 10.5.5 with 9.4 kernel...

The only problem is i have a ALC888s In-built HD Sound.. (ICH 8)

I have a Intel Dg35EC Mobo. and core2Duo 2.53Ghz..

Thxx for helping...

First, you should try the 9.5 Voodoo kernel (google for it. It's amazing)

Secondly, install (with kext helper) and try the kexts I'm sending you. Then give us a report if they work or not.

In third place, if they work, praise the god Taruga.

Where can i download the patcher please?

Anybody have any ideas how to make the sound work on HP Mini 1000?

And how does one take a codec dump off this machine?

The card is:

00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller [8086:27d8] (rev 02)

Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you!

Is there any solution for the conexant audio boards using AppleHDA.kext?

Because i would really like if my headphones and mic work. :P

Thanks to you all...

It depends on which model you are using.

There are sollutions for STAC9271D and stac9227_83847618.

go to http://osxupdate.blogspot.com/ and ask for those kexts if you need them

some of those codec dumps are slightly different of what they should be. My advice is do your own codec dump.

use a linux live cd and, in terminal, type (exactly with spaces and all, in one line):

Code: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 > /tmp/codec_dump_alc883.txt You'll find the codec_dump_alc883.txt file on the tmp folder. Copy it onto a pen and then drag and drop it onto the patcher. If the v.20 patcher doesn't work, try others. Some of them work better on some models - for more patchers go to http://osxupdate.blogspot.com/.

Don't forget that you must have a real password (not a blank one) on your system for the patcher to work.

While this might sound pretty odd: How would I go about getting the original drivers back? I *think* restoring my brandnew iMac from a Hack's Time Machine archive f***d up my audio drivers. I had installed some odd version that made it work on my Hackintosh. How would I go about restoring Apple's official driver?

Allright I'm faily new to this and I can't seem to figure out how to use the patcher. I downloaded it but now what? I tred dragging the Text file that belngs to my audio but nothing happens. It just stays ontop os the AppleHDAPatcherv1.20.

you can't be doing it right. how hard is it to drag and drop a txt file? clear the txt formation, and save it with another name.
