Sorry, is it Beta .kext available for download - beta4some861_880models.zip that you mention?

I did replace both folder in my Leopard by 2 folder in eta4some861_880models.zip archive. Then, try to patch again, it is still the same, please take a look:

patch___result_of_9271D___03.rtf

No man!!! Not that one, it´s the same you got, the last attachment

It´s 2 kext´s that you need to copy to /System/Library/Extensions/

This time, you only copy the kext, no drag and drop, and don´t use the patcher either. Just replace the kext´s

You´re too green Shrek :(

Tried the STAC9271D kext and does not work, but AppleHDAcontroller is loaded on the System Profiler.

Using ToH.

Edit: Disregard, I have a 714d, patched with version 1.6 and it worked!

Does your audio recognized completely? work fully or mis any function?

Please give me the codec (714D) that you use to patch by 1.6

Thank you.

I've got a SigmaTel STAC9221 A, vendor id: 0x83847680, and would like to do some testing to try to get it working in Leopard. I've downloaded version 1.18.

Let me know how to proceed. :)

I've sent the codec dump to the codecs address.

Hi Turaga.

I am very happy to report that 2 channel sound WORKS on my ALC883 (MSI 945GM3-F mobo). No inputs yet, though.

Dump is attached to a previous post of mine, here.

Thanks for all your hard work! I'm really looking forward to version 2.0 now that output works on the latest release!

Hi!

I have tried the ChaOSX 10.4.10 v5.0 Install DVD, but not even that one gives builtin sound even with it´s Intel DP35DP audio patch that is included.

It´s a Sigmatel STAC9271D, not some obscure thing. I have tried everything now.

What a dissapointment really..

Hi Taruga,

My S975XBX2 (Intel) board is having a SigmaTel STAC9227 codec, But my codec dump (I've send a mail as you have aske with attached dump txt) was causing a kernel panic( taken with ubuntu 7.04 live CD ) in 10.4.8 and 10.4.10 but I was successful in making only Line-out working with your STAC9227_83847618.txt.

But now on Leo 10.5 (ToH kernel 9) and Leo 10.51 (Vanilla kernel 9.10 and PcFfiV5.1 and 8) with HDA_Patcher1.8 is not making any impact( no panic, no line-in, no mic either) If have enough time kindly look into this.

With Thanks & Regards

DazzleMM

It work's with my alc262 greatly!!! Thank you for driver TARUGA!

I'll introduce about this topic to KOREAN x86osx forum

http://x86osx.com

I just find one problem. This driver couldn't recognize headphone port (green 3.5mm). However, it recognizes mike port (pink 3.5mm). I using Skype!

I can hear sound now because my alc262 was installed on my laptop(Samsung R20 Plus) and my laptop contains built-in speaker and which is working with This driver well but it doesn't work with headphone.

In windows, when I insert the headphone jack into green port, driver change the sound output to headphone automatically. Is there any solution for this problem?

HELP Taruga, I am testing out your new alpha alc861 kext. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I've copied both kexts (applehda.kext and alcinject.kext) to my /Systems/Extensions Folder. Repaired Permissions. But somehow when I reboot my computer the dialogue msg pops out saying alcinject is not properly installed. Am I installing it incorrectly? Please advice! ;)

GOOD NEWS!!

My alc861 works with alpha kext after some permission edits. However, volume control doesn't work. Here's the screenshot of my sound preference pane. Microphone works.

Not working: Mute and Volume Control

Keep up the 'God' Work!!! Thanks Taruga!!!

Yes, there is. I´m trying to solve those issues on the next v2.00, since the same codec behaves different on several machines, I can´t make a patch that works for all, so it will have some custom options to fine tune (enable/disable ports, add/remove, etc) so you can play with it until get the best result. Just wait for it, I think it will be much easier for all of us.

You have to copy then to /System/Library/Extensions/When you copy a kext, then do this:
chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ALCinject.kextchmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/ALCinject.kextchown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kextchmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext

To fix permissions (or it can give you the problem you had)

If has more stuff than it needs :P 2 Int Speakers, that is causing problems. With some fixe, it will be fine

Could someone be so kind to tell me whether one of the patches from post #1 could work with my board (Realtek ALC 888 codec)?

I have stereo out support with the azalia patch after deleting AppleHDA.kext, looking for line in support.

thanks, pilsator

Download a dump for your codec from here: 1 - alc888 dump2 - Download AppleHDA Patcher at post #1 (there are several versions, results may be different.)Drag and drop the codec dump download at step 1 onto the Turtle icon of the patcher, it will ask you for the password. After that it will do the patching. Good luckIt´s always nice to report which version worked for you so others can learn with your experience and also for me to improve it.
