magare
Welcome back Taruga !!! Quite a few people here have a problem with AD1981. After install the patch the mute button shows some attitude and keeps shutting itself down. No idea why it's behaving strange.
celtikmind
Glad to see you're back!!! Looking forward for a possible fix for Soundmax/ADI 1988b (v_id 11d4 d_id 198b)? Just a 2 ch Line out + Mic/Line in would be great! I've tried patching AppleHDA.kext but either it won't work or I am doing something wrong. Perhaps there is something here with mute as well? I get Line out and digital out but still no sound. Attached my codec dump from ubuntu in post #2764. /take care C.

Beastofomous
I know this is going to sound really stupid but I'm having a problem and I hope someone can help me out. I have a gateway notebook mx8711 with ToH leopard running. I've downloaded the AppleHDAPatcher, booted into linux with a liveCD, dumped my codec to a txt file, saved the text to my portable drive, moved it over to Leo again all fine. After I run HDA Patcher i literally dragged the linux dump text file and dropped it onto the icon on my desktop for the HDA patcher, but it didn't do anything. I've tried it numerous times, and I know I must be doing something wrong. Anyone wanna tell me how I'm being an idiot? Also can't get it to boot without the ToH installation CD, but thats a project for another day...
