fireloss
Thanks for the great work! Anyone has Line In for Sigmatel 9223? The patcher v1.16 fixed just about everything except that there is a mislabeled port of "unknown" for the SPDF and then there isn't the Line In input. Any suggestions? roneil4
Does anyone know if the sigmatel 9205 works with the patcher? I need to buy a new laptop soon and the model I'm looking at uses that card.

vele
finally got the realtek chipset alc262 to work on my vaio.......headphone out and internal will try to get the internal mic working over this weekend... Great Job! If only the input worked. I don't see taruga's alc262 test files on the front page, but with one of these, the second or third the input worked. gabrielbcn
Where are the files???? Can someone tell me where can i find the AppleHDA.kext for ALC882? thanks What do you mean? Do you want to erase the previous file? Then it's explained a few posts ago. Do you want to make it work? Then apply the patcher. You have everything you need in the previous few posts. Good luck @xytsao, look back and you'll find it
celtikmind
Did anyone ever get Soundmax/ADI 1988b (vendor_id 11d4 dev_id 198B) working? It seems to be a rather common codec on many motherboards today so I guess more people are as interested in this as I am (it's pretty much the only thing that's holding me back from using Mac OS X full time). Searched through and through the forum and elsewhere... Taruga said he was working on it a couple of revisions back so I have tried both patchers, 16 - says "needs more research" and 17 - "line out/digital out in prefs panel but no sound on any output". And now he's been 'napped by Apple or sumthin'? EDIT: Haven't tried AppleAzalia.kext since I couldn't find it in stock Leopard. Don't really believe in adding older kexts when they already seem rather "crippled" for this codec anyhow. AppleAzalia.kext (same old ver.) works for 2 ch output as usual - found it inside AppleAC97Audio.kext and moved it outside to "/S/L/Extensions". Would still prefer to have AppleHDA working of course! Will keep an eye on this - back to Vista in the meantime. And yeah, USB audio prob works but I haven't been able to find a cheaper one... only in the $140 price range (m-audio etc). Thanks and keep up the good work - codec attached j.i.c.! C. mf_adi_1988b_codec0.txt

jjduro
Get it here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...700#entry514080 there are more here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...700#entry515810 I don't have the ALC268 HDA patched beta kexts. I think there's some people around here with those files. Try to find them on the HDA IRC channels
weekender
Any chance to get a dump for ALC885? I found one for Tiger but it doesn't work for Leopard unfortunatly
jjduro
The dumps are made on Linux... So, it doesn't matter if you're using them on Leo or Tiger. What matters is the patcher. It may well be that it doesn't work on Leo. Why don't you try and make your own codec dump?1 - Get a Linux Livecd - A really recent one (I use Ubuntu, but knoppix is good)2 - Boot from it and go to Terminal3 - Type cd /proc/asound4 - Type: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 > /tmp/[insert codec dump filename].txt5 - Get the *.txt file at /tmp and save it to a pen drive. And that's it. You now have your own codec dump file to use with the patcher.Good.
bigbrov
Someone got the AD1986 HD working? With 0x11d41986 and 0x27d88086
celtikmind
Seems the ADI/Soundmax (1986HD, 1988 and 1988b) range of codecs is only supported presently through AppleAzalia.kext. 2 ch output only... Does anyone know anything about Taruga or anything about AppleHDA-patcher? Seems strange to disappear and remove the files as well, don't it? wabby
Btw, Here is my dump from Ubuntu 7.10 (on a Dell XPS m1330). This one gave me SPDIF and some extra nodes, but still only sound on jack Used 1.16 patcher audiocodec.txt
jjduro
Maybe this is just a crazy idea, but why don't you edit AppleHDA on your system and change the node value of Output/internal speakers for the one on your jack? Probably you'll have to change the volume values also. But give it a try - don't forget to repair permissions, delete extensions cache and reboot after editing. If it works, then try to change volume values. You can find where to edit by reading this Taruga's guide. Scroll down untill you find the highlighted part. If it works, post here the results. If it doesn't, also post here. Btw, Here is my dump from Ubuntu 7.10 (on a Dell XPS m1330).
