If you have OS x 4.8 or more recent then do what I told you before. Download a 9220 sigmatel dump from the repository

I tried using the suse linux audio dump with hdapatcher 1.16, the result is the same, "This codec is not working at the moment, it needs more research "

so i have to apply mistique's kext patch (made for all asus p5b motherboards) to able to use 2ch output.

Taruga, If there is anything i can help (testing) let me know. Thanks...

Excellent work Taruga! My congratulations to owners of a sound card 9227!

On mine notebook sound card AD1986A and I have already lost hope it to recover. At that time when our great magician and wizard Taruga works above drivers, I search variants of reproduction of a sound are alternative. I wish to share with the users results of the searches:

Variant #1

- CREATIVE Xmod, X-Fi Module for PC and MAC, External, USB, Retail - excellent a desktop the decision. An excellent sound, super Crystalizer 24-bit the correction, very convenient handle of adjustment of a sound. For Mac OS driver it is not necessary. Cost nearby $80

- Minuses - at independent use are required additional speakers or headphones.

Variant #2

- Genius SP-i200U

http://www.genius-europe.com/en/produktdet...=29&ID3=252

Very compact speakers, an excellent sound, pleasant basses. A cover in the complete set.

For Mac OS driver it is not necessary. Cost nearby $18

- Minuses - short USB a cable, big USB a socket.

I apologize for statements not on a theme of a forum. I simply wish to help same as I to users hacintosh not having a sound on the notebook. All of success.

Here's my dump. 10.4.9 (uphuck) and AD1986A.

I only saw a few differences in the dumps, so far no go on sound. I get the volume icon, but can't change vol (which appears to be the norm for these), and in my system profiler, it still says no built-in audio. Also, no sound is produced.

Thank you though for all you have done Taruga, keep up the good work!

PS: One thing to mention was I have attempted it with the 1.13 and the 1.16. Contrary to others, I had no luck with the 1.13. Only the 1.16 seemed to do anything, and I am sure it has all to do with my codec.

You mention that this is for the 8.8.1 Kernel but if I have the 8.10.3 Kernel is there any way to make this work? I have a motherboard with Sigmatel 9223 thrown on it and I would definitely like to be able to use it. I tried the 1.16 patcher but after patching AppleHDA.kext OS X can no longer load it. Nothing I can think of helps!

What can be so complicated with ALC 662? I see there is no solution since long time.
Well, I didn´t try it yet ! :PI´ll make something for testing....

Well, I didn´t test it with 8.10.3, but with 8.10.1 and several leo beta versions it worked fine. But I only tested alc882

Hi Taruga,

Thanks so much for your effort on audio driver.

I have problem with my Realtek HDA ALC 262 on my Laptop BenQ T31.

I have test all your alc262test*.zip kext on post #1, but none of them working...

I'm using 10.4.8 with kernel 8.8.1.

I'm willing to do some test if you need.

The device does not detected.

Hi Taruga,

First off, you've done an amazing job! Congrats!

The day after you got the P5GD1-VM working I tested it on mine and sure enough it worked flawless.

However, that same day I had just bought entirely new hardware to replace the aging 915

I got the Asrock Conroe1333-667 which so far seems to be a great board.

However, I need your help to get audio working fully.

I've tried using the 1.16 patcher and ran HALLab2 to take screens.

It does switch from no to yes in Running Somewhere when sound should be heard.

I've attached the codec dump also.

Please let me know what else I can do for you to help make this work, I know it would help a lot of Asrock owners out there if we can fix this.

P.S screen 4 has something odd in it, the 3 volume sliders, the "M" (Master?) is not available while the others are.

Cheers!

Do you see any sound output or input devices ?In console terminal, write:
kextstat

Do you see any of these kext's loaded ?

com.max.ALCinject (1.0.0d1)
com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (1.2.4a21)
com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController (1.2.4a21)

OK I've tried to check using kextstat. And only the

com.max.ALCinject (1.0.0d1)

loaded.

I also try to load the AppleHDA.kext manually but nothing happen.

And there is no sound output or input device on Sound Preference.

Can I use the AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16.zip to on 10.4.8?
