Taruga
first of all, thanks Taruga for your work. i have a Sony Vaio VGN-N330FH with everything working fine, only having problems with audio. If i use Azalia i have speakers sound, but no headphones or mic. if i use any of your extensions revisions, i can see in HALLAB working audio, also in control panel, but i hear nothing. by using this version: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry440597 i have my mic working! but no audio yet coming out from speakers or headphones. i have a ALC262 device , VendID 10EC devID 0262 susbsystem 104D1600 i know this is very close to be working, i hope with your work i finally manage to have audio on my laptop. Taruga, what can i do? should i wait a little more for your research? is there anything else i can do? thanks again Is that last ioreg of yours a few posts above the one after the mic working and not the rest ? Send me pics of both sound inputs and outputs of that one you said you have mic working, also an ioreg -lw0 dump I think for sony stuff maybe it´s easy to hack the bios What do that guys do to codec implementation ?! matemago
ok Taruga, this is my ioregs and screens for ALC262test1 and ALC262test3 kexts. test1 has mic working fine, since i tested it with voice recognition. but no output. test2 does the same as test1, so i dont post images . if you need ioreg, let me know. test3 recognizes speakers and headphones, but no sound for both, and no mic working. it shows two input sources i think this is wrong. thanks again for your time myioregtest1.txt.zip myioregtest3.txt.zip

consolation
Thanks for the 1.13 tip Taruga , got partial success; line out and optical out detect and working BUT, no volume control. Everything plays at maximum volume, although I can use the apps individual controls. No mic or line in. Attached my codec. Cheers for all your work, much appreciated. P.S. running 10.4.10 w/ 8.10.1 Darwin Kernel I'm pasting my codec in as I can't do attachments atm, apparently I don't have permission Codec: Analog Devices AD1986AAddress: 0 Vendor Id: 0x11d41986 mentorek
Hi Taruga, it's been a while that I have been messing with my iHack's sound card :censored2: , but might as well get into it again. So I attached my codec dump from Linux (now, when dragged into your patcher: "unsupported Conexant Codec"). Maybe you feel like checking it out. Don't know if it is at all possible without overwriting the Toshiba-BIOS' faulty DSDT-table with an appropriate kext, but maybe you have a smarter approach than the Linux guys. Cheers, Bugs PS: so you are still looking for an oink invite? Not the best place to post some update I guess but have no idea where to put it. In Arch Linux kernel .22 (or maybe even in "stock" .22 kernel) there's a patch used that is using _OSI value different than Linux (have no idea what had been used there, but will take a look when I'll get the sources). With this "hack", I don't have to use corrected DSDT to get my soundchip, nvidia, ethernet and wireless working at the same time. Is there a place I could gain some knowledge about kernel and other stuff? Cheers, Mik
tesla0939
Hello, I try "beta4some861_880models" in my ASUS W6A. Only mic is worked. Could you give me the advise? Tesla
gio on the mic
Answers... 1) Yes/Maybe 2) I'm confused with what codec you have ( I will post the .kext as soon I you confirm) - patcher version used was my own (v1.17), not released yet. what exactly should i confirm? please tell me what info you need, beside the linux dump i already posted. ciao

frantisheq
finaly my sigmatel 9227 mic works in ubuntu 7.04. only thing i needed to do is to turn on ADCMUX in gnome/alsamixer but there is no ADCMUX switch in OSX. any ideas? microphone LED is on so it is powered but the indicator won't show any input until ADCMUX is turned on. i've used patcher 1.16 on 10.4.10 and it looks like everything works except microphone
Unique13
Taruga, Question about the Linux dump.txt that i'm draging over to your patcher.... When i'm in Linux to make the dump from the terminal does the sound need to be working in Linux or is the dump the same if I have sound in Linux or not? Depending on the Kernel that is loaded in Ubuntu my sound works or doesent work. the first dump I made was from a livecd and the sound didn't work. Now I did a clean install and now have full working sound in Linux mic, headphones and builtin speakers... Gonna make a new dump and try your patcher agian. Just was unclear about my above question. Thanks for all you do!

Z3us
Thanks Taruga! Everything is working except i have low volume output.. It's the 882 reatlek.. I know i saw your answer to that problem somewhere in the 100 + pages here.. but i couldn't find it searching again. I used the ALC882_0x1043e601 with your patcher. I'll also try better speakers.. Maybe these are just {censored}. My other speakers are plugged into my sound blaster card. Took me 2 weeks to get video working.. Took me 20 minutes to get sound going with your patcher, instructions and files..
