Ah Taruga!

Happy to hear that you are still alive.

Even more happy to hear you are working on a sound related project!

I -and a lot of others for sure -had already given up any hope to get CONEXANT 5045 / 47 sound working fully.

I tried it myself but got lost.... keep up your graet work!

I have a Dell E520 with onboard 9227 and I just ran AppleHDA Patcher v1.16. I'm happy to report I now have sound. Thank you !!!!

Sorry, it will take a lot of time for that. I´m working on a better and more compatible solution for all codecs

Well, I actually have sound working out of the box (uphuck's 10.4.9 v1.3) on my Asus Z71V (ALC880).

However I only get sound on the laptop speakers; no mic (built-in or jack), no line-in, no sound on headphone jack, etc. So I booted up linux, dumped the soundcard codec but AppleHDAPatcher v1.16 says the codec needs more research.

I've attached the dump. Is there anything I can do? I care mainly for the headphone and mic jacks (if possible the built-in mic too).

Thanks!

First of all, thanks for this wonderful patch. I have sound working with my ALC882.

I have this one little problem though. On my shuttle xpc, I have sound jacks on the front and back. In the sound settings, internal speakers goes to the back port and headphone goes to the front. Is there a way to combine them to internal speakers? It's a little annoying to keep switching them when I want to plug my headphones to the front.

I have another shuttle xpc but it has AC97 and it doesn't have this problem.

Hey Taruga,

first thank you very much for your hard effort.

I've seen that my codec (ALC268) is still unsupported by the patcher, so i've decided to go on and try to patch it myself following your guide. I followed all the steps using a codec dump done with a linux live distro binhexing, changing the nodes. My situation is the following now: under apple system profiler I can see output/headphone/mic but i cant see them in my sytem preferences! do you know what i could be missing?

Thank you again

here is my codec dump if you should care :P

Taruga, (or others)

I know you're a busy guy - we appeciate all the hard work.

I have a D945GNTL board, specs on Intel's site says it's a 9220 (Sigmatel), however when I get the dump out of Ubuntu, it shows as a 9221 A.

When using the dump with the patcher, I get an audio icon in the menu bar, but no ouput on any port.

Any help or comments from others with similar hardware is appreciated!

Nate

(Running 10.4.9, using patcher 1.6)

HI Taruga! =) I'm another one with ADI1986a on i945P (osx 10.4.8. with 8.8.1 kernel)

Patcher configures only line-out and SPDIF-out but they dont work at all (volume slider is at MAX but there's no sound and no control)

Azalia works well but gives only 2ch-output

Hope you're on your way to this card solution. Maybe my dump will help a bit.
