sir mac alot
I would like to work with someone on Sigmatel STAC 9274D. Anyone out there interested? Trying to get sound in working and maybe more of the inputs and outputs. I have tried several changes in the applehda info.plist. maybe if we work together we can get it working. lisette
I keep getting a kernel panic right after entering my password. OS X: JaS 10.4.8 Kernel: 8.8.1 Codec: SigmaTel STAC9200 Vendor Id: 0x83847690 Subsystem Id: 0x102801cd Revision Id: 0x102201 First tried by downloading a codec that matched the codec used on my Windows partition. I have a friend/co-worker with a laptop identical to mine (they were bought with the same PO), and he's running SuSE 10.x with a working codec. So I had him dump his codec for me and I tried it too. Still crashed. Is there anything that's supposed to be done before drag-n-dropping the codec on to the patcher? Hi Samutz. I have a Dell M90 laptop and also had problems patching my OS X. What I did was updating to 10.4.9(Jas 10.4.9 SSE3 update) and then ran the Taruga's patcher v.16. It worked to me, I hope it'll help you.
Cosmyco
Greetings guys... Well, I`ve got a P5WD2 with the ALC882, and I installed the package but then the computer started behaving kinda weird, asking for me to turn it off and so... Well, I didn`t do that code stuff, is it the only way to make it work ?
Alexei Leonov
Hi ppl! I've a P5WD2-Premium motherboard with Realtek ALC882 codec. I've installed Taruga's kexts with a linux codec dump as indicated on the first post and it worked very well. Now I have high quality stereo sound out of my speakers, line-in and mic-in. But, unfortunately, only STEREO. I've been searching through all this topic but didn't find a consistent answer. My question is: does Taruga's kexts suports MULTICHANNEL 5.1 sound on ALC882? Thanks in advance!

Cosmyco
Hello everybody, I'm a newbie and i want to know how to make a linux codec dump, I think you got to use this command: cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 The exact command will vary, but should be very similar to this... You can always double press the Tab key on your keyboard issuing the command to find out your options (same for OSX command-line)...

whitehorse
Thanks you very much Cosmyco .... This is my last try to find a solution for my conexant cx20551 (waikiki). Under linux, they find a solution to make this chipset sounds good BUT it's very recent, they replace the vendor id & product id by conexant cx20551. I hope to find a solution in OSX86 which is even better than VISTA. See you later...

tmazzoni
Hi, thanks to you all and for all the 90 pages I read but maybe I have been missing something. I have an AD1988B and JAS 10.4.8 with semthex kernel. I know I should upgrade the kernel but with my motherboard no other kernels or 10.4.* package/update/patches work. So I'm stuck with this configuration, since all versions of AppleHDApatcher cause a kernel panic as soon as I drag the dump onto them. I decided to edit the Pathmap by hand. But which file am I to edit? The Info.plist in the ALCinkext.kext directory is nothing like the one that's included in the AppleHDA Guide. Is there any other Info.plist to edit? Maybe someone could pm me his own patched Info.plist so that I can edit it and see if I can make it...
mindaugas
I patched with the sigmatel 9200 codec and I get sound, I also ran the update to get the subwoofer working. but my sound is choppy, especially when something accesses the hdd. even when playing a CD. msn notifications are also very choppy. any1 else having this issue? is there a solution? maybe I picked the wronged codec? I used the Sigmatel9200.txt from here: http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/sigmatel/

bijoux
I've been trying to get sound on my laptop (Asus W3J w/ 10.4.9, AD1986A) for days now to no avail. Azalia gives me control to volume sliders but I get no sound, AC97 just wont work and AppleHDA patch, gives me "Line Out" and "Digital Out" however I still dont have sound. Has anybody gotten this card (11d41986/27D88086) to work? Please tell me your method. This is getting frustrating for real. Im hoping for more AD1986a support in the future. ssimon
Hey guys, hoping someone got the same ALC880 (from a Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 motherboard) to work with this patcher. I tried the new patcher v1.16 on my desktop system (Jas 10.4.8 Intel SSE3 w/ Semthex kernel 8.8.1) and received this: AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 Taruga v1.16 _______________________________________________________ Codec : Realtek ALC880 Vendor Id : 0x10ec0880 Subsystem Id : 0x105bb603 _______________________________________________________ This codec is not working at the moment, it needs more research Here is my ALC880 Dump File from Ubuntu for the Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 motherboard. Has Anyone gotten their ALC880 to work yet? Taruga, if you could be so kind as to add this chipset to a future patcher version, I would appreciate it. Many thanks! ZANE WANG
Can this package work in AD1981HD? I tried the ADI 1981.txt from website, but nothing happened, It seems AD1981 is different from AD1981HD. So, How can I use this package to let AD1981HD work correctly with mic ? : )
