Taruga
Was the sigmatel 9200 (dev=7690) ever accomplished? Have you tryed my Patcher ? If so, what was the result ? People that try it and report results get things done, I´ve just made another sigmatel user happy, first only worked headphone, then speaker, now mic... so it´s like the topic says, " Work in Progress" And things are going well, what all do you guys think ?! I will release support in v1.10 full for analog devices, but ad1988a and ad1988b is giving me trouble, i only had some success with ad1986. Only these 3 models were tested, but maybe other will work too
Sazpaimon
Alright, when I used the straight-up ALC883 kext driver with the Inject kext I got sound just fine out of my back ports, but for some reason, even when I feed the patcher a working codec dump, I still cannot get ANY sound out of my front panel. Any ideas why? Okay, I just tried this with the newest 1.10 and now I get no audio whatsoever. Any hope for me?

Any ideas why? Okay, I just tried this with the newest 1.10 and now I get no audio whatsoever. Any hope for me? let me see if I understand, first you say you used alc883 kext and got sound fine out of back ports, but not from front panel. Now you say you don´t have sound at all. I need more info.... Do you have a desktop or notebook, email me your codec dump if you have it Do you have sound or not ? Or only don´t have sound from he front panel ? p.s- You talk about 2 different solutions... I never made an alc883 kext, I made alc882 and others used it to create 883 My applehda patcher is one thing I made to eliminate severall different kext´s for alc and others and put it all in one file, in time it will not even need linux codec dumps to create custom configs for each case, it will be a fully automatic and generall solution for most of HD audio codecs

Later, via a suggestion on the IRC, I made a codec dump and used your patcher, which I assume disabled Slippy's kext. Your previous version also gave me sound when I patched it, just not out of the front ports again. I tried again using your new 1.10 version, and I didnt get sound at all. Oh, and I'm using a Desktop EDIT: I uploaded my codec dump here Now, if I have to work some magic and remove slippy's kext before trying this, just give me the quick rundown and I'll do it. SkyZ
Thks Taruga!!! You're VERY VERY close to make Sigmatel 9200 works!!! After patching with 1.10b, Sound setting shows built-in speaker and headphone in output, but there's no sound from either of them...... However, in input, it shows input and built-in microphone, and you know what? built-in microphone DOES WORK!!!

Taruga
Great work taruga, with 9200 working and the new intel wifi drivers, many more users will come back to OS X It seems that is only working inputs on 9200, and normaly is more difficult inputs than outputs, but I think I know what the problems is, have to take a look at the 9200 specs
