i have the black screen after wake from sleep issue. is there anyone with a solution?

i found out reading in forums that the only way for having wakes from sleep working with both igpu and peg enabled is to set igfx as primary in bios.

what's the issue in my case? i have a thunderbolt 3 ex card and (really strange but so i is) if i enabled the thunderbolt card (with mac os settings) and igfx as primary, my system hangs and it doesn't boot, giving me strange post code.

no issue with thunderbolt card working and peg as primary display.

 

second issue:

​I can't play Netflix. I see a black windows with green artifacts.

what about you?

 

edit2: i can't play netflix with safari. it's working by the way with firefox or chrome

Hi guys, first thanks for this kext my HIS HD 7790 running smooth in Yosemite & Sierra (only lilu+whatevergreen) no fakeid , but in High Sierra I get black screen for a couple time until the machine sleep .. and strange after wake up screen show up just like normal condition 

any guide to fix this?

Do U know whether Ur card ist uefi supported? If not that could ne the Problem! But if IT does plz try to disable csm Like the others did!

my card is UEFI support and Bios option CSM disabled, maybe not the kext problem, I see in artilce even real mac (macpro) get the same issues https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/high-sierra-causing-blank-screen-macpro.2073218/

Hey guys,

 

I have a RX 560 with macOS 10.13.

I get a freeze every few hours. The mouse can be move and i can listen music but screen is freezing. Its very strange.

 

maybe one has a idea how to fix, i add my clover config.

I am also considered switching from Nvidia to AMD dues to some issues I have. Is it working for you now properly ? please?

R9 380 works with no issue in macOS High Sierra.... Everything is fine.

I'm using Asus Strix RX 560 4G. I'm using it on Sierra 10.12.6 with lastest lilu (1.1.7) and Whatevergreen (1.0.4). But after I tried updating it from El Capitan 10.11.6 (another HDD, not my main SSD) to HS 10.13, I just got black screen after verbose boot.

 

I use the same boot options (kexts, drivers including apfi.efi, config.plist...).

 

Plz help!

 

Edit: add -lilubeta and -radbeta to bootflag SOLVED the problem!

Hi I have an AMD 580 8 GB running with WhateverGreen.kext 1.04 and Lilu.kext 1.17 on Sierra 10.12.6

It is running fine. No Clover injection or anything else on Z270X-Gaming 5 Gigabyte mobo.

 

Now I want to add another 580 8 GB and then OSX just won't boot.

BIOS, Clover and OSX starts fine but when it comes to sending signal to screen it stops and ends with almost black screen.

 

Does anyone has an idea how to fix this? Or point me to an direction?

I have searched myself but can't find anything yet.

Nothing particular in config.plist. Radeon GPU injection is turned off, IGPU used with connectorless ig-platform-id. In BIOS CSM - Disabled, Primary Graphics - PEG, MultiMonitor - Enabled, DVMT - 32 Mb. That's all...

Many thx. I turned of IGPU,then it works. But in 10.12.6 lilu+whatevergreen works fine with IGPU turn on.

The first PCI slot and on display. But I've tried al combinations already. 1 GPU is fine, 2 only save mode and 2 with full OS it stops before login screen and screen is not totally black but does not pass to ge in OSX.

i read about multimonitor and chose first connectors for certain output maybe that is something I can try as well.

Is device id 0x67C7 supported by Apple? It’s the Radeon Pro WX 5100 and a Polaris 10 spec card with less stream processors. Similar to the Radeon Pro 570. I see the WX 7100 in the whatevergreen code, but not the WX 5100. (I have the card btw if I need to test anything). If it does not work, I'll order a WX 7100.

I can hear gpu fan running at high rpm and my hack freezes.

tried both with and without whatevergreen, same situation.

what do you think about it?

I tried to install High Sierra on the legacy machine with Radeon RX 460. A installer worked well and a installation might be completed. however, black screen issue occurs in High Sierra's initial boot.

 

when a boot process starts, verbose lines appear, then my screen flashes and catch a signal, but just a black screen appears.

I hear HDD working, its led is flashing. I think my screen must catch a signal, because a LED on my screen keep going on, that means it is not in sleep mode.

 

in addition, when nvidia Quadro FX 1700 is attached, High Sierra works well.

 

any suggestion, please??

It’s the drivers. I have the seem problem. Thats why I am trying to get the WX 5100 working until the iMac pro is released and the drivers are stable for Vega.
