Shaneee
Previous System kext for the AMD kernel will still work. The System kext for each OS version doesn't really change so it's safe to use. As for a kernel update, Apple still haven't updated the sources, https://opensource.apple.com
spakk
got no issue updating 10.13.3 on my amd 5800k machine with 6450,,now waiting a system.kext for 10.13.3 from bronya and shanee system.kext is generated when the kernel is built. Previous System kext for the AMD kernel will still work. The System kext for each OS version doesn't really change so it's safe to use. As for a kernel update, Apple still haven't updated the sources, https://opensource.apple.com not quite correct, Shane According to my experience with El Capitan, the System.kext should always be installed to match the installed amd kernel, otherwise an endless error loop will occur when booting macos. Therefore, the system.kext should generally be generated every time you build a new kernel. In my opinion.

Gigamaxx
Awesome, Shanee to the rescue. . I was able to get HS 13.4 to boot using the 17.0 kernel but it’s a bit buggy and nobody else has shown success with it. The new HS 13.4 has two immutable kernels and some linked scripts in the main partition. Probably has to do with the Spectre and Meltdown bugs. Hopefully, a newer kernel will make it easier to boot and install the new beta. The new beta has what seems to be the Whatevergreen and or Rad de init function and AND cards are working without any fixes and they get proper names. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/328795-amd-ryzen-high-sierra-install-guide/page-3?do=findComment&comment=2579176
notiflux
Okay so I've already built a kernel based on Darwin 17.2. All credits go to Shaneee, all I did was to apply his diff file. I didn't even bother to change the version number so uname -a still says Shaneee, but that's cool because it is in fact his kernel EDIT: Also huge credit to the original creators of the AMD kernel: Bronya, AnV and Sinetek Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Bp9lKlyb7k198lOolD51sja8SUZg6gAb/view?usp=drivesdk

jsl
You have tired it? Yes, it got the same error as previous Bronya's kernel (unable to rebuilt prelinkedkernel successfully and always got fie size Zero bytes).

Shaneee
Ok made some changes to the CPU settings and reimplemented the -emulateintel boot argument. This gave me a 4cb increase in Cinebench but I hope it'll fix some issues with Apps detecting the AMD CPU. @Gigamaxx if you could test on Ryzen as not sure about support. jsl
Ok made some changes to the CPU settings and reimplemented the -emulateintel boot argument. Thanks for this new AMD kernel which can boot to desktop at 10.13.3 in FX-6300 hackintosh. But it can not be waked up after S3 sleep if booted by Enoch and a little better performance (about 3 %) of CPU/GPU performance scores by CineBench R15 with patched System.kext. It got too many invalid opcodes during booting of 10.13.4 DB1. If booted by Clover 4380 this new kernel had no wake-up/sleep issue in my FX-6300 hackintosh with less optimal performance by CineBench R15. It also worked in Ryzen 1700X hackintosh without issues.
