Hello everyone! Thanks for info and tutorials! I have some problems with 10.13, so maybe someone knows solution

1. Ryzen 5 1600X. Results of Cinebench tests are 20% worse than the same in Windows 10. Is it possible to force CPU to work up to 100%?

2. VoodooHDA. Sound delay (as I can see I'm not the only one ).

3. There is "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0" and little freeze about 2 seconds before boot.

Used kexts:

FakeSMC.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

Lilu.kext

WhateverGreen.kext

No any fixes enabled in my config.plist.

Does anyone know how to get kernel messages from Verbose mode in log file? I was searching in "/var/log", "/Library/CloverEFI" and other locations but I cannot find it.

I just have a problem with USB CDC device. It works perfectly fine on original Mac but it doesn't work on hack. And I have no idea why it doesn't work. AppleUSBCDC and AppleUSBECM loads without errors. USB 3 port (GenericUSBXHCI) works with any other devices without any problem.

-Add the busratio=xx boot flag in your config.plist

- Replace xx with your busratio i.e [ CPU speed (Mhz) / Bus speed (Mhz) = xx ]

to know your CPU speed and Bus speed , go to BIOS

That is normal it is the graphics Handoff point, some get the multiple apples (usually with Intel IGFX), some a white flash, some just the progress bar. If it’s booting don’t worry too much about it.

The answer is no. Apple jack has hardware to switch signals, not only turn speakers off, also turn on spdif output if an optical cable is plugged in the headphone jack.

Get a real mac for that.

RYZEN USB Installer fix! Please test and report.

I edited the USB installer scripts for Ryzen! This edit allows for a smooth install on Ryzen with mostly native USB support 3.0 and 3.1 without any USB kexts added. This is a clean install using only the Bronya Kenrel, System kext and Prelinked kernel. Follow the video guide linked and use the pre install and post install folders for Ryzen as replacements. There is also a Clover folder you can use after loading your installer with clover boot loader following the guide. Just replace the clover folder generated with the one provided.

Use the post install terminal command: Volumes/image\ Volume/kernel_kext_install_only

I removed the commands to remove "troublesome kext"s and trimmed it down to a basic complete install which is all that is needed for Ryzen systems. I installed twice following the guide and avoided the USB fixes but still could not get USB working as I had previously with a cloned disk without any USB fixes or kexts. After looking into the scripts I noticed the removal of several key system kexts that Ryzen has no issue with (other AMD CPUs may need them removed).

This its the link to the guide. Download the Guide page and follow it during the USB creation and install. It may be wise to print it. Follow it along normally but replace the preinstall and post install folders and clover folder after the USB installer is completed. Follow the guide during install and use the post install option kernel_kext_install-only. I was able to use my USB 3.0 case prt for the entire 3 part install and it went smoothly without any hitches.

UPDATE:
I tried use Clover in legacy(non UEFI) mode and it works fine I being able to load apfs partition but I got "kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU'" error, any way to fix it?

1) - Boot Problem.

When I boot my computer, It dosen't show the option to boot from the Mac, only appears the windows boot. See image bellow

if you formatted your macOS HDD to APFS then it needs apfs.efi file in your HDD/EFI/CLOVER/driver64UEFI folder

or else your macOS drive wont show up in clover boot menu.

so boot to your macOS drive using USB then mount the USB EFI partition and macOS HDD EFI partition using 'Clover Configurator app'

then copy the apfs.efi file from USB/EFI/CLOVER/driver64UEFI/apfs.efi to HDD/EFI/CLOVER/driver64UEFI/

UPDATE:

I tried use Clover in legacy(non UEFI) mode and it works fine I being able to load apfs partition but I got "kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU'" error, any way to fix it?

try by removing the following efi drivers as they are not needed

- CsmVideoDxe-64.efi

- PartitionDxe-64.efi

- EmuVariableUefi-64.efi

also put the latest apfs.efi in driver64UEFI from BaseSystem.dmg/usr/standalone/i386/apfs.efi
