Hello people good night. The Sierra 10.12.6 has support for the intel 7th generation, but I use fakecpuid, need to strip it to later update or after the installation can take it, or does it make no difference?

Sorry my bad English !!!

You can remove the FakeCPUID before or after you installed the macOS 10.12.6 update it won't matter because if you SkyLake and KabyLake are both supported in the 10.12.6.

All you have to do is to boot into macOS with the FakeCPUID start the updater and in the meanwhile edit your config.plist and remove the FakeCPUID and once the installer is done then reboot. You can also install the update and reboot and once you're in the macOS 10.12.6 remove the FakeCPUID.

Please help: How can I find out why the combo installer exits with an error?

Check and see if the installer file is not corrupted.

here is the md5 hash for 10.12.6 combo update: MD5 macosupdcombo10.12.6.dmg = a23d2d3876cb91e714c5b796984d6a6a

open terminal and type: md5 and then drag the installer to terminal and then press Enter/Return compare your md5 hash with the one I posted.

Yes my Internet connection works just normal. Also I think you can run the installer offline, too.

Yes the combo installer doesn't need the network connection but the error is indicating that there is a problem in the network connection. That's why I think the package might be damaged during the download process.

If I download the full Sierra installer and create an install medium from it, will it be now install 10.12.6, so does Apple always update that installer?

Yes it will be the latest update in the App Store.

You need to remove all the previous macOS Sierra installers though.

I personally compress them and then remove the install macOS.app so the new installer will be downloaded to Applications folder instead of updating the previous installers.

To fix the Flickering Color :You can use ResXtreme to change the color depth to fix the flickering, or you can use the SwitchResX to set the colors to millions.

And with 10.12.6 you don't need to use the FakeCPUID anymore KabyLake is supported now.
