Yes I know! Mojave is great with the Vega. Better than windows now.

The 10.13.6 latest seems to have got the same treatment. For me anyway.

They're finally getting the Vega working as it should.

Can you comment on the difference in temps? My Vega crashed a couple of times on Mojave when I was running the speedup kext and was running quite hot...

I'm not using any powerplay kext, only whatevergreen with the Mojave driver. Just played 2 hours of Tomb Raider 2560x1440p @ 144hz and the highest temp I saw was 47c with the fan set to 2200RPM. 1326035842_ScreenShot2018-06-29at8_23_32PM.thumb.png.465bd2fedc1703f70420b8f7f096fc28.png

Can you run Unigine-Valley with Extreme HD Preset!?

My Vega 64 Liquid Cooling crashes and it is slower than the 290X on Cinebench.

I am using macOS 10.13.5 with Whatevergreen.

What was your score on extreme hd?

My temps maxed out at 67, score 2905.

My Vega is ex. air FE with an EK waterblock and a water bios in it.

With Mojave, at least with the build 18A326h, to get the fan going, the temperature target needs to be brought way down (below 30C). The temperature reading from the driver seems weird (too low). It's behaving way different from High Sierra.

While Luxmark's luxball scores well, anything compute heavy runs like {censored}. High Sierra's performance is around 30% better. :censored:

That is very fast for such a low core clock.

How did you fix it?

Can you explain how to fix the fan issue. Which fan values have to be modified and what do the values mean for e.g. fanMinRPM and fanMaxRPM.

I found it out myself by reverse engeneering the Softpowerplay-Data.

Does the trick with plist still work on Mojave public beta 2? My MacPro 5.1 freezes at the end of boot process after making the plist change (at the end of the grey apple logo progress bar). Booted into recovery mode and the plist was back to original version (on its own), but stil can't boot into normal desktop.

Hi,

does anyone know how to adjust the sensitivity of the fan speed? I create my custom text using the power table editor, but It seems like the fan speed change is delayed according to a temperature change(lag behind). Does anyone know the solution to this? Thanks a lot!

With the SoftPowerPlayTable.

Yep, my SoftPowerPlayTable didn't change - under High Sierra, Luxmark shows a Clock of 1642Mhz. Under Mojave, it shows 945Mhz. It's either a bug in Mojave, or a bug in Luxmark. It really doesn't have anything to do with my SSDT changes.

In any case, the wrongly displayed clock speed of the GPU doesn't seem to impact performance - it's just cosmetic.

It would seem that 10.14 beta 6 has fixed the fan controls to dynamically go up as temps rise and slow down as temps fall. I ran 4 full Luxmark test to make sure that the fan spun up and down as temps rose and fell.

Already tried Mojave Beta 6,still fan issue with my Vega 56 Pulse with/without PowerPlay Tables.

@Pavo did you implement AGPM properties?

No, I am using the latest WhateverGreen and Lilu only.
