samaelestevez
Problem partial fixed.. delete complete the intel kext ( also in EFI partition ) and install the drivers for the other NIC ( atheros 2500) and all is working fine now using this network adapter ! I'm going to try your solution once I get back. Why do you say partially fixed?

bbmatias3
For which problem? are you using a nvidia graphics card? are you still hitting space and all those commands? once your system is up and running you don't need them only bus ratio and npci. and if you have installed the web drivers use nvidia web. sometimes it hangs for me so i have to try to boot couples times
bbmatias3
i'm thinking about getting a different card(not nvidia) to see if it works better any suggestions? without helper card.

I have an old ATI card that I will try. It worked before, but then I installed the NVIDIA and had no issues with it. I still don't understand why I see the warnings about invalid kexts though
bbmatias3
did you try to install a driver for something? ethernet audio? did you use kext wizard after you were done moving all the new files

Martimar
the performance of my 660ti its normal. in cinebench its about 50fps and in the heaven benchamrk. its about the same that in windows. i think that is the gigamax say a few posts above "Ryzen mobos have HDMI, VGA, DVI and DisplayPort outlets but the Ryzen 3 series which will have integrated graphics are not available. So these ports are all useless for now. These Web Driver may also have been written for Intel chipsets as well, maybe need a special AMD version for Web Drivers. ", the nvidia web drivers its developed to use whit intel igpu. maybe its question to edit the web drivers to no depend of the intel igpu. You are getting more FPS than my GTX 1070 (around 45fps). Wth is going on with these webdrivers...

I was digging around looking for OpenGL versions (trying to see if it's using nVidia OpenGL version perhaps?) and i come across this: Notice how it says "Loaded: No" Clearly it's loaded as i am getting graphics acceleration within OS X. I'm getting 34.8fps in Cinebench and roughly 25 - 30fps in Heaven benchmark. Could it be that os x isn't fully loaded the web drivers? Anyone know any trick to getting this to work? @Gigamaxxx can you post a screenshot like mine? You have no issues with your graphics, right? Edit: i rewrote nvda_drv=1 into my nvram (sudo nvram nvda_drv=1 in terminal) and rebooted. I then went to Graphics Injector area within clover and renamed my GPU to Gigabyte GTX 970 (just messing around here) I then rebooted back into Os X and it seems it has now loaded my nvidia driver fully, slight increase in FPS on all apps but it is still only at 40.93fps in cinebench. There has to be something else holding this back. I did also see Apple's nvidia driver also loaded as well as the nvdaweb driver, both have DIFFERENT versions. Could this be it?! Martimar
I've been playing around some more, i've managed to get 50 fps on Cinebench now, i changed my smbios to imac14,2 wiped my nvram and entered nvda_drv=1 into it again. I gained a few extra fps in heaven benchmark, it's still not right though. I'll keep playing around.. I'm literally trying everything possible. I gained a few extra fps in heaven benchmark, it's still not right though. I'll keep playing around.. I'm literally trying everything possible.Last night I spent a lot of hours trying to find the culprit and came out empty-handed. I tried every possible smbios from macpro 4,1 and up and imac 14,1 and up (imac 15 and 17 were a challenge to get them to show image but I managed). I got nothing from trying different smbios, save probably that older macpro were ~45fps whereas newer macpro and imac gave ~55fps. I also played with the video card bios and changed its idle frequency to be near the boost frequency hoping to keep card at Max speed all the time, at the end still got the same result. One thing I noticed from this is that even if i set minimum core speed to, say 1320mhz, it wont idle higher than 486mhz (normally my 980ti idles at 135mhz). This tells me that something within macOS is still settings some limits on the card regardless of bios setting. What catches my attention is that it doesn't matter what card you have (I've seen reports here from 970 to 1080ti) everybody gets around ~50 fps. Looks to me like the drivers are limiting something. @bbmatias and @papiercul discovered that the ram bandwidth was limited, but there's many things that can cause that limitation, what is it? I don't know, but I will keep looking.
bbmatias3
for sure reason 45-50 is where the card is limited wonder why
bbmatias3
the bandwidth is good, no problem CPU/PCI and PCI/CPU Mavericks > Sierra but works good to get your ati card running was it hard? i saw someone selling this one for cheap

Gigamaxx
r9 290x??? R9 290x will need a helper card or igpu, the 7xxx series or R9 280x doesn't. It really sucks that the good newer AMD cards require igpu or helper cards to avoid black screen.

Gigamaxx
that sucks hard to set up helper card? Not at all, I use a Nvidia gt210 ($30 Us) it works natively in Sierra, and in Sierra Beta 12.6 the RX 480 gets accleration without any fixes. So the next Sierra update to 12.6 won't require any fixes for RX cards (except name R9 xxx). Before the bit coin Pokémon craze they were going for cheap because of the 580 release. My RX 480 with Ryzen works well but it is limited due to the 8 pcie lanes because of the helper card. My Geekbench ompute score using my pentium g3258 is around 140,000 with Ryzen about 115,000. Still not bad but I could use 16 pcie lanes which will come with the X399 Platform from AMD the threadripper. Sorry, just reread your question, to set up a helper card just put a gt210, gt710, 8400gs or similar in slot 1 and the R9 290x in slot 2. Inject Nvidia in clover settings is all that's needed to get support. For R9 290x you may need to edit the info.plist for the 9510controller and maybe the 4100kext. It's an easy fix compared to what you've already dealt with to get Ryzen working.
