Hello. I have encountered a problem that after all the installations, my software does not see a CUDA-enabled device.  What else does it take to make it work?

This is the second person with a 750m with this issue...

Are you sure that your High Sierra 10.13.6 is the LATEST Version - (17G10021)???  IF NOT, please Update your OS to the Latest Security Update and make sure you are on (17G10021).

This is the First Step to take to make sure the NVIDIA Web AND CUDA Drivers are working for you on this Video Card.  387.10.10.10.40.133 IS MEANT ONLY for (17G10021).  IF your System is NOT on

(17G10021), this would explain why you are getting this Error.

In addition, as mentioned before, the 750m is a Card that 'typically' gets the Driver assigned and attached by MacOS and the Third Party NVIDIA Web Driver is NOT necessarily needed for this Card.

HOWEVER; since you have already Installed said Web Driver and proper CUDA Driver, it's best to check that you ARE on (17G10021) for these Drivers to work properly with the 750m.

Guys, there'e no shortcut!!! - Especially if you are new on this. It is not something that woks just like that - Hackintosh is not an exact science!!! Which is meaning if something works for someone, it does not mean it will work for everyone. Before trying to make your own hackintosh, be aware about your config, it will be helpful later. The only secret to a successful hackintosh is to read a lot, and make a lot of mistakes. This is how you will become efficient and above all autonomous.

Also be aware about forum rules - They are not there for show!!! I just removed @Chiitus post because of off-topic. Be sure you searched everywhere before asking for help. This topic is only about Nvidia Web Driver on High Sierra, if you have issue with Cuda, we also have a dedicated topic for this purposes.

We also have an app called Nvidia Web Driver Updater - it will search and install the correct web driver version depending on your macOS version. Give it a try.  ;)

Hi, any webdrivers that will work with build 17G66?

got mac os 10.13.6 and a nvidia gtx 880m

Thanks by the way!

Looks like you're SOL if you're expecting working NVIDIA Web drivers for build 17G66. Let me guess, you updated to macOS 10.13.6 from the MAS? Because I did too since I'm in the process of setting up macOS High Sierra using a Ryzen 3700X w/ a GTX 1080TI. How idiotic was it for Apple to leave us w/ the one build version where NVIDIA's Web drivers aren't compatible to install on it... beats me. Based on users reporting immediate issues upon installing the driver, NVIDIA pulled the plug quick and removed it from their servers (you can see here) so there's no way to access them nor have I had any luck finding them online. You can read about it here and here. Only recourse I can think of would be to update to macOS High Sierra Security Update 2019-002 10.13.6

Web and CUDA drivers ARE necessary to get CUDA processing for this GPU on certain applications. That's why people with the 750M use these drivers.

Then people with this Card 'should ONLY' utilize the 'correct' Driver for the OS in question.  That is, DON'T FORCE a Newer Driver onto an Older OS Version, NOR an Older Driver onto a Newer OS Version.

ONLY utilize the CORRECT Driver for EACH OS Version.  In this case, the ".133" Driver IS ONLY MEANT for OS Version - (17G10021.)  (As stated by @Hervé, and myself.)

The Community at large CANNOT be held responsible for those whom insist on using the OLD and FAULTY ...x.10.10.15.15.108 Driver in (17G10021), NOR anywhere else.  ESPECIALLY, when it has been found that it corrupts Metal calls in games like WoW and causes Freezes and Crashes.  This is why that particular Driver was pulled by NVIDIA.  Likewise, to FORCE a newer Driver into an Older OS Version, the User MUST accept responsibility when the OS 'barfs up' and has issues.

Well, in my case I couldn't installed it because I didn't updated to the last 10.13.6 security update (the package just failed to installed). After updated IT works fine, as supposed.

So maybe the problem for those people is not related to having installed the driver onto an older version.

I guess the problem for them is related to CUDA driver and software version, or just not selecting the driver to use on preference panel...

In my case I can confirm that ".133" driver works together with the CUDA ".481.163" driver on a Macbook Pro late 2013 with a Nvidia 750M, running Mac OS X 10.13.6 (17G10021). CUDA processing available on CC2018.

Security Update 2020-001 for High Sierra has released.  As USUAL, DO NOT Update to this IF you are using

NVIDIA Maxwell, or Pascal Cards!  Wait for the NEW NVIDIA Web Driver Release - should be

in the next day or two.

Maxwell:  GTX-750TI SC, 8x0, 9x0 Cards.

Pascal:  GTX-10x0 Cards.

As ALWAYS, Turing Cards ARE INCOMPATIBLE with MacOS!!!

Turing:  GTX-16x0, RTX-20x0 Cards.

Nvidia Web Driver - 387.10.10.10.40.134 --> build 17G11023 (thanks to TimeLord04New!

Hello.

I am following this drivers since a while now. For a few upgrades. all was working fine but since las 3 firmwares it all is not working.

My actual Mac OS X is: 10.3.6 / C02MK2E1FD59

I am going to attach a photo about my computer and my NDIVI Card as Driver.

Because it is not working and still saying I would upgrade my Operating System to 10.3.6 which is the one I have already.

Of course After Effects CC 2018 Will not recognise my NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.

I went to Apple Upgrades and also download the leatest Security Update 2020-001-10.3.6

Please some help about it all.

Thanks.

UPDATE MacOS BEFORE Updating the DAMNED DRIVER!  You've been TOLD THIS BEFORE!

Update MacOS to Security Update 2020-001 - (17G11023) - THEN FOLLOW the Directions IN NVIDIA Web Driver Updater!

[EDIT:]  TO CHECK YOUR OS  --->  GO TO "About This Mac"  --->  On "Version 10.13.6" Text, Left Click with your Mouse ONCE and it will EXPAND to

show you YOUR CURRENT VERSION NUMBER.  The WARNING MSG CLEARLY STATES YOU ARE NOT ON (17G11023)!

[EDIT2:]  I ALSO HIGHLY recommend that you Check The Box and have the NVIDIA Web Driver Manager placed onto the Apple Menu Bar.

This helps to easily identify if the Web Driver is Running or NOT.  (See new Menu Bar Pic that I've Uploaded.)

@antuanet,

STEP BY STEP:

1.) When a New OS Release comes out - WAIT for New Web Driver to Release

[1-A.) Sometimes it helps to DL the New Driver, that's why MOST of us Post Links

to the New Driver Release.  (NOTE: I've had my Mac Pro 5,1 - Daedalus' NVIDIA Web Driver Manager

FREEZE and state it CANNOT connect to the Web to DL New Driver.) In an emergency, one can then

use the Downloaded Driver to Install from.]

2.) Update MacOS to New Security Update

3.) On Login AFTER Successful OS Update, NVIDIA Web Driver Manager WILL PROMPT

you to Update the NVIDIA Web Driver.

4.) Upon successful Install of New Web Driver, you will be Prompted to Reboot one

final time.

NOTE:  DO NOT FORCE Install a New Driver onto an OLDER MacOS!  IT DOESN'T WORK!

(SEE YOUR Warning Msg.)

NOTE 2:  DO NOT FORCE Older Drivers onto a Newer MacOS.  (Been done by many.

Especially using the faulty 387.10.10.15.15.108 Driver.  HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!)

@antuanet,

Looking back a couple of Posts to see if I missed something, and I find that

your GT-750m IS NOT even being listed as a coprocessor!

It looks to have been 'Disabled', ONLY your Integrated Iris Pro GPU is showing.

Something has happened to your GT-750m.

@antuanet,

This was BEFORE you Installed the Web Drivers:

[EDIT:]

I think @Hervé is right in that NOT ONLY do you NOT need the Web Drivers

for your GT-750m, BUT IN FACT they are causing GREAT HARM to what you want

to accomplish with your System.

Installing the CUDA Driver, (418.163), is one thing, BUT the Web Drivers are truly

designed for Maxwell and Pascal Cards ONLY.  Your Card is no later than Kepler and

is NORMALLY controlled by Driver 355.11.10.10.40.102 BUILT IN to MacOS.

IF it were my System, at this point I'd HIGHLY consider Uninstalling the Web Drivers.

I am on High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G10021) , I haven't done the latest update cause using the Check Now button on nVidia Driver Manager, it tells me there is no update available as my web driver 133 is the newest. I saw that 134 is the newest, just wonder if it is safe to update the security patch 2020-001 or not ? My graphic card is GTX-1080.

YES! It is NOW quite safe, (with the Release of the ".134" Driver), to Update to 2020-001 Security Update - (17G11023).

You may wish to DL the Driver and have a direct copy for emergency use.  However; as always, after Updating the OS,

the NVIDIA Driver Manager WILL Prompt you to Update to ".134".

[EDIT:]

I ALSO suggest that you GO BACK several Posts to my "Step By Step" Instructions!

I laid everything out for @antuanet, specifically, BUT these "Step By Step"

Instructions go for EVERYONE!

You should also create your Signature and put in your System Specs for more specific

assistance.

The past two web driver revisions (133 and 134) have slowed my work process to a halt. I am using ArchiCAD 23 and Twinmotion 2019 and this has become unusable due to the constant lag and redraw rates. Prior to that everything was nice and speedy.

I also just updated my config to power the GTX 780 with a Powerlink connected to two SATA ports on the logic board into one of the 8-pin connectors, and a mini 6-pin to 8-pin cable for the other using the normal video card power connector on the logic board. So, I figure that my power is all set at this point, but I'm not sure how to resolve this insane lag.
