edlvox
Hi Blayze would you mind sharing our EFI folder? I have an XPS and haven't been able to boot once on my xps 15 10.13 hs apfs is runnin smooth as butter on the internal nvme ssd. I feel like maybe some of you may be gettin bottlenecked, causing hiccups, by the usb on your external hard drive/ssd or by being on a hdd instead of a ssd. SteveRings
Dell Inspiron 7548 currently booting HS Beta DP1 from SanDisk 64GB USB3 PCIe configuration failure - AirPortBrcmNIC - AirPortBrcm4360 AirPort Extreme Fix BCM94352Z (Lenovo NGFF) (14e4:43b1) - credit to Neo.aka.Darkman; my configuration still failed with his fix but just had to duplicate the three fixes for com.apple.driver.AirPort.BrcmNIC and change the kext to com.apple.driver.AirPort.Brcm4360 - so now 9 patches instead of 6. SavageAUS
I had a devil of a time figuring out how to hide my Preboot and Recovery partitions for High Sierra. All of my APFS partitions (the one I made and the ones made automatically) have virtually the same ID so when I was entering strings to hide, I ended up hiding all of the APFS partitions. Here's what it looks like in my bootlog. I have highlighted the portion of the IDs that distinguish one from another. That is what needs to be entered in Clover to hide those partitions. 2:984 0:000 - [15]: Volume: PcieRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1F,0x2)\Sata(0x0,0x0,0x0)\HD(5,GPT,270EDB00-BC75-4E10-9F05-67A1D73DFAD3,0x198F21C8,0x42C88C0)\VenMedia(BE74FCF7-0B7C-49F3-9147-01F4042E6842,8E801EBC600EC04891DBD317C11D5F54) -- THIS IS PREBOOT 2:984 0:000 - [16]: Volume: PcieRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1F,0x2)\Sata(0x0,0x0,0x0)\HD(5,GPT,270EDB00-BC75-4E10-9F05-67A1D73DFAD3,0x198F21C8,0x42C88C0)\VenMedia(BE74FCF7-0B7C-49F3-9147-01F4042E6842,DC8B3533327ED232A0792F28E45CD0F0) -- THIS IS HIGH SIERRA OS 2:984 0:000 - [17]: Volume: PcieRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x1F,0x2)\Sata(0x0,0x0,0x0)\HD(5,GPT,270EDB00-BC75-4E10-9F05-67A1D73DFAD3,0x198F21C8,0x42C88C0)\VenMedia(BE74FCF7-0B7C-49F3-9147-01F4042E6842,4A079A1A0C66C8428B2515320AE989C9) -- THIS IS RECOVERY Hopefully, this will save someone some time figuring this out. Thanks for the hint on this and for those wondering like me in your bootlog.log.txt you will see something like 1:544 0:000 - [18]: Volume: PciRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x17,0x0)\Sata(0x1,0xFFFF,0x0)\HD(2,GPT,C183804C-272D-4D45-A07E-6D4A1A67F873,0x64028,0xDE47A30)\VenMedia(BE74FCF7-0B7C-49F3-9147-01F4042E6842,E58DF8CB6C5EA241ACDBCDBFE05070E7) Long huh? Well all you need in the last section after \VenMedia and after the , and in my case it's E58DF8CB6C5EA241ACDBCDBFE05070E7. Now you have that all you do is add that to your config.plist here Add as many as you need to hide, i've only hidden the preboot volume. Finding the correct volume to hide on my laptop was a bit of an effort but i got it in the end.

galile7621
For me High Sierra runs slow on HFS+j and APFS formatted SSDs (no difference between them when it comes to speed)... It's even worse when I open up safari... then the complete system feels and acts like when it would if you don't have graphics acceleration. As long as I don't open Safari it's pretty slow, but usable. 10.12.6 runs very smooth Do you have any problem with graphic card/nvidia web? And how did you enbale full QE/CI? I modified the nvidia kext but still have some problem
DuongTHVN
Yep. I managed! You have to go into clover boot menu at ACPI patching and tick Drop ACPI MATS, to be able to boot. can you share your MATS table. i can not find it on my Laptop ACPI tables. macq
Ok was able to install onto apfs external hd usb 2.0 from a hfs partition with clover 4091 and core .pkg method.. All works except brightness control(same as in Sierra) and an empty trackpad pane. While installing, the installer near its end when it says optimising software always failed saying something went wrong. But I still booted and reached the desktop. The boot time to reach the desktop with apfs and usb hdd for me was 11.5 minutes.

TheRacerMaster
can you share your MATS table. i can not find it on my Laptop ACPI tables. Again, it doesn't have to be the MATS table. You need to check all of your ACPI tables, and remove any unprintable characters from the strings in the header.
Orion's Sword
Typical setup: - config.plist/Inject/Intel=true - config.plist/ig-platform-id set to valid ig-platform-id for KabyLake. My process was on a desktop, so I used 0x59120000. Laptops would be different. - config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0 - as mentioned, kernel flag -disablegfxfirmware (if you get the problem with firmware load) - Lilu.kext + IntelGraphicsFixup.kext probably needed (latest versions) - DVMT-prealloc set to 64mb or larger (or use patch ig-platform-id data as required for 32mb) - no need for FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext, but if you install it in this scenario... it won't do anything (it doesn't load with native KBL device-id) Extracted ig-platform-id values from AppleIntelKBLGraphicsFramebuffer.kext.... ig-platform-id values KBL 10.13.dp1 00 00 1E 59 00 00 16 59 00 00 23 59 00 00 26 59 00 00 27 59 09 00 27 59 00 00 12 59 00 00 1B 59 01 00 1E 59 02 00 18 59 03 00 12 59 07 00 26 59 04 00 27 59 02 00 26 59 06 00 1B 59 patchable for DVMT-prealloc: 0x591b0000 01030303 00006002 00005001 0x59260007 00030303 00009003 00005001 What should be the SMBIOS? Neo.aka.Darkman
New Patch for Broadcom BCM94352. There are changes only in com.apple.driver.AirPort.BrcmNIC kext. For NICMFG kext is the same patch as in DP1. I've merged 3 patches into one now! So you don't need PCIe2 and PCIe3 patches! They are all included in one new patch! VanillaIcee
Beta 2 installed for me, no problems. I just had to select the Install Partition via Clover when it rebooted (same as done during initial install). I have FakeSMC, USBInjectAll, and my Ethernet kext injected from EFI partition. Using APFS. On a KabyLake 100-series motherboard machine, using Mac 18,1 identity. Interestingly there is a new partition Clover recognizes ("Boot FileVault prebooter from preboot") which I can select and goes straight to my normal partition (I guess since I don't have FileVault on).
