xtddd
There's a change in the firmware/bios version, it's been updated to support apfs. However, the installer won't update anything on our computers because, simply, we don't have the chip that holds the firmware. You might ask, "what shall I do then?". You go to your config.plist and update the smbios. Below is a table with the updated information, thanks to @Ukr55 from applelife.ru. Riley Freeman
If you're using the latest Clover (from source, not 4077) or one of the fixed builds like Sherlock's v2 then the FirmwareFeatures and FirmwareFeaturesMask values are already set. But the installer also checks the BIOS version and will try to update it if the one it detects is older. So setting it to the latest one as in Needy's list will make it think it has already updated the BIOS and it will carry on and install.

chris1111
Yeah, I think my second download was corrupted somehow. Couldn't mount InstallESD.dmg anymore. Verification failed. Just downloaded it again and it's indeed the same as the first download. InstallESD and BaseSystem separate Some users reported that their download was only 5mb or something so I guess Apple is/was toying around with the image Try reboot before Mount InstallESD I have the same Erroor this morning

Which afps driver did you put into UEFI? You need the apfs.efi one that's around 450k. The smaller 7k JumpStart one doesn't seem to do anything with Clover. Riley Freeman
When I tried APFS I think I had both apfs files in Drivers64UEFI. It's too slow on a hard disk to bother with so I've been using regular HFS since. You'll know that Clover is loading the apfs.efi correctly if you get a load of text over the boot menu screen.
