vandroiy2012
So if you have High Sierra installed using APFS, you cannot install Clover on it's EFI partition. I have I got that right? Yes. Only manual installation. Same as with RAID or FusionDrive. If your disk have containers Clover can't mount correct EFI partition.

MattsCreative
Hello everyone I followed some guides and I can say its a total success! :thumbsup_anim: I have a C612 ruing High Sierra DP6. with dual engineering sample processors E5-2690v4 and I just wanna know is there any different xnu power management scheme in my case ? First, some back story: I'd since corrected any issues with power management, injected frequency vectors, corrected the SSDTs using information I got booted in linux and had all my frequencies correct. So I knew this wasn't anything to do with using an engineering sample. My poor scores had a very strange behavior to them. My scores would be fairly high right after a restart, usually 3293 cb , but would quickly drop over minutes down to my low 2000 cb. If I immediately ran Geekbench a second time, I would usually get At first I thought this was a heat issue and the CPUs were rapidly heating once OS X was loaded due to some issue in the power management. However, I verified that my cooling (which is very generous for 2x 135W) wasn't an issue. I did some stress tests in Linux while monitoring all core temperatures, and even with all cores at 3GHz for 10 minutes straight, I couldn't even hit 50°C on a single core. So my cooling certainly seemed adequate. and on windows10 I get around 4100 cb. I was reading through some of Piker-Alpha's posts about xnu power management, and something caught my eye: he had a list of flags, from which only -xcpm was the only one given any attention. I searched I test this boot flag -xcpm_ipi and it worked perfectly under Mac OS Sierra but I am not sure what I suppose to do under Mac OS High Sierra. - So I wanna know couple of thing is it my power mangenment looking good? - How I can monitoring my cpus performance in dual cpus system because intel gadget monitoring app not working in my case? - what I can acutily do to get the same reasult as in windows 10? - My EFI folder EFi.zip Settings: ------------------------------------------ logMSRs..................................: 1 logIGPU..................................: 0 logCStates...............................: 1 logIPGStyle..............................: 1 InitialTSC...............................: 0x23e3fbc2865 (102 MHz) MWAIT C-States...........................: 8480 Processor Brandstring....................: Genuine Intel® CPU 0000 @ 2.40GHz Processor Signature..................... : 0x406F0 ------------------------------------------ - jaymack
You can manually copy the CLOVER folder into the EFI partition on APFS drives and it will be bootable. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk That is what I have done. I was a little confused at first when I read that you cannot install Clover on to the EFI partition of APFS drives. But of course that is direct installation rather than indirect.

SavageAUS
Has anyone done a fresh install with DB7? I did and instead of showing 3 (macOS High Sierra, macOS High Sierra Recovery and macOS High Sierra PreBoot) entries in clover it shows two macOS High Sierra PreBoot and macOS High Sierra. I don't use windows anymore not and for a long time, but last year I did a dual boot on my test rig and I installed macOS first and windows later. The best way is to use disk utility from Yosemite to partition the disk with two partitions one for macOS and the rest for windows as free space and then you can format the free space with windows installer.
abdouoi
Yes. Only manual installation. Same as with RAID or FusionDrive. If your disk have containers Clover can't mount correct EFI partition. If the problem is really the mounting process. Why can't clover install to EFI if I already mounted the EFI partition with Clover Configurator ? I remark too that the disk utility in High Sierra don't have the same options we had in Yosemite or Sierra. I conserve a partition with Sierra to have those options or perhaps be a solution to "downgrade" the disk utility ?
Cyberdevs
Why Yosemite? Why not Sierra or El Capitan? That's because when you use disk utility from 10.11 to 10.12 you will end up with the "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style" error in the and using disk utility from Yosemite and creating the portions as I described you can by pass that error by creating a hybrid partition scheme. Question: I'm trying to install macOS High Sierra DP7 on an Asus Prime Z270-A but the installer doesn't detect my hard disks, any suggestions? This is the first KabyLake rig that I'm trying to install macOS High Sierra on.
gengik84
Probably SATA-ID is not present in AppleAHCIport.kext Try this SATA-200-series-unsupported.kext.zip (Thx Rehabman) The only IDs present are "pci8086,9d03"(laptop) and "pci8086,a102" (desktop) for the 10 series So the alternative is to try a Sata/FakeID using one of these
