Matthew82
okay. we got a great point now. first we need to check install problem(OSinstall.pkg) on each intel cpu architecture. checklist 1.lynnfield 2.sandy 3.ivy - problem 4.haswell 5.broadwell 6.skylake - me, cyberdevs 7.kabylake red is problem. blue is no problem. to clear issue, first check try to change ivy smbios to haswell or skylake or kabylake smbios on your ivy build. it's not potential fix. we are going to temporarily check what problems are occurring and where X99 broadwell-e 6850k and RX580 all good. Badruzeus
BTW, the language menu appear also with Clover. Hmmb, my bad.. I never got it using Clover since r4087. On my case, it always give "OSInstall.mpkg" error message on first Install GUI appears. I think my USB Install method caused the problem, since I'm not using Create Install Media but BaseSystem restore (caused of this?). Thanks for confirming, anyway

Badruzeus
@Badruzeus This menue appears with BaseSystem Méthode So, my unsupported graphics may caused issue with it? But wait, it uses nv_disable=1, otherwise WindowServer crashing my GF119. Or, something wrong with my macOS Installer.. Ok, will recheck tomorrow using another Installer. Thanks. surfinchina
There was no way I could get the entire HS public beta downloaded, I tried several methods but either got the 11mb file or it would hang - waiting in the launchpad. For some reason the update in app store gives me an error checking for updates (only the os x update bit) now. I used the pike script method to get it installed. X99 with 5960 seems ok. The HD7970 helper card is no longer accelerated - this happened between the developer and public betas. R9 390x is fine. R9 Nano is still no go with 4500HWServices kext. Badruzeus
Hi @Sherlocks, for report only.. The only test I didn't try yet is plugging out my SATA drive since (looks like) another OSes inside it cause problem, or another reasons. Thanks (still using same mach as seen on my signature, tomorrow test) Ah OK, did the test with SATA Disk plugged out (no Disk at all, only USB Installer); but I still get same "OSInstall.mpkg" error as well. Was using Clover r4101 and Enoch r2885 both give same results, also with some new 2017 Platform Datas with different SMBioses. The outputs from root device with "diskutil info / | grep UUID" are same; no strange issue with it. macOS version I've tried so far was 10.13 Beta DP1 only. Badruzeus
Can anyone encountering AppleSMCRTC panics try booting with keepsyms=1 (with the 10.13 AppleACPIPlatform, no downgrades)? I'd like to find the cause. Hello, take a look.. sounds new Here

Thanks for confirming, anyway If you use the old basesystem restore method, you will never get to install and always get "OSInstall.mpkg"error. The only way to install 10.13 is to use createinstallmedia to create Installer or use new MBR installer method for both GPT and MBR .

Cyberdevs
@Sherlocks I think I found the cause of the problem on my rig. I've been doing some more test for about 7 hours with different settings and FF,FFM and PF and none of them worked. So it got me thinking that what might be the cause. It's "EmuVariableUefi-64.efi" without it I can install macOS High Sierra DP2 Update 1 from USB without a hiccup. I tested the iMac 13,1 iMac13,2 iMac 17,1 iMac18,1 MacPro6,1 and all of them work perfectly fine on my rig with clover's default values, no additional FF or PFF or PlatformFeature So that's conclude the test I've been doing so far. and to the guys whom are experiencing the OSInstall.mpkg error please test the installer without the EmuVariableUefi-64.efi installed and let me know if it worked out for you as well. These tests were conducted on my Asus P8H77-M LE, Core i3 3210, R9 270X GPU with all the other hard disk attached to the mainboard. Cheers.
