ergot
You can make it bootable by installing Clover on you external SSD. You can also mount the EFI partitions on your bootable HDD and the SSD and copy the working EFI folder that you use for your sierra, the only thing that you need to change is to copy the /EFI/Clover/kexts/10.12 to /EFI/Clover/kexts/other thanks but now i am getting kernel panic and i cannot see why the words destroyed somehow...will try other methods

uzmi
Hello, About USB max limit port patch, use this one instead under 10.13 DP1: (Target kext: AppleUSBXHCIPCI) # 10.13 DP1 83 7D 84 10 -> 83 7D 84 xx Note: xx means your new max limit port, which is typically 0x16 for 9-series and 0x1B for 100-series. gpatpandp
How completely odd it is that each individuals installation success so far with High Sierra 10.13 seems so random and unique. With the initial Developer Preview release, I had absolutely no issues with installing it in either HFS+ or APFS on my Dell Optiplex 790 (SFF) (and I believe with Clover v4046) on an SSD adjacent to my macOS Sierra 10.12.5 partition. When using the same USB installer, upgrading to Clover v4084 (different config.plist, DSDT, SSDT, patches etc obviously) and trying both firmware features and new SMBIOS information, nothing worked and I was forced to resort to the "Core.pkg" install method on my HP Envy K series laptop. After downloading the 10.13 Public Beta release, I wiped the 10.13 DP partition clean on my laptop and tried installing it from scratch though was met with the same firmware obstacles with either formats (HFS+ or APFS). I attempted the "Core.pkg" install though this time even that failed. Once however I upgraded Clover from v4084 to v4097, I finally was able to achieve a complete, error free install on my laptop. On a side note, I noticed that in upgrading to Clover v4097, the Clover boot menu displayed/listed partitions (10.13 recovery etc.) that v4084 did not. Point being is that to me in carefully sifting through this forum it appears that a definitive, "one size fits all" solution to installing macOS 10.13 High Sierra remains somewhat elusive thus far. While I am not entirely sure if my experience is relevant in effecting the presence or absence of the EmuVariableUefi-64 theory however in checking my drivers64UEFI folder a moment ago, the successful 10.13 Public Beta release APFS formatted installation I reported the other day on my HP Envy 15T-k200 "Haswell" laptop was indeed accomplished with the EmuVariableUefi-64 driver inside my folder. hitman478
I installed High SIerra Beta on my Dell XPS 15 9550 but I couldn't get the Sleep to work properly. When I clock on Sleep via the Apple Logo then it needs some minutes until it goes to sleep and if I press the Power Button then the Laptops starts again but I don't get any picture on my internal Laptop Screen and also not via my external Monitor. I tried in Clover with darkware=1 and without darkwake but without success. I use the latest Clover Version. Is there anything which I can do that sleep is properly working or is this to early because it is frist the Beta Version? Thanks.
Badruzeus
Hmmb.., I think "createinstallmedia" and "nvram" are two points for 10.13 Beta, using Enoch r2889 I have no issue while on Pre-Install using USB, install succeeded, boot from macHDD, updated to 17A291m and done. FileNVRAM.dylib was installed though, but it found no nvram.plist while scanning on all partitions. Yeah, I was using an old 2012 MBP10,1 SMBios generated by Chameleon Wizard v4.4.1. It was on Legacy-GPT. Again, not trying yet using UEFI scheme. Enoch_r2889_10.13_17A291m.txt EFI_r2889.zip

polyzargone
I still have graphics issue (distortion from boot screen) with my HD4600 (mobile). Anyone experiencing the same ? It was working well with Sierra What's your resolution? I find out that using 1600x900 on my Aspire V3-772G just fixed the problem. But I'd really like to use my native resolution in the end . Any ideas folks?
Andrw0380
Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help me. I went back to 10.12.5 as High Sierra was still a little bit raw for me to use but I would like to go back to 10.13 and notice a weird issue. In the past, I was able to get 10.13 to install when using MacBookPro11.4 SMBIOS with the May 1st date as "01/05/17" but not having the same luck with MacBookPro11.1 which allows my HDMI port to work. I tried using the updated date of "06/26/2017" and the updated BiosVersion of "MBP111.88Z.0139.B01.1706261010" with no luck. What happens is the message that Mac cannot verify the firmware during the install phase. I just find it weird that no matter how I arrange the SMBIOS date or use different values that with MacBookPro11.1 or even MacBookPro11.2 that I can't get the installer to proceed past the firmware verification stage. As mentioned above, I could use MacBookPro11.4 or MacBookPro11.5 but my HDMI port doesn't work in my laptop and I don't want to change back and forth between the SMBIOS's every time there is an update. It's like something in the Board-ID that enables my HDMI port is causing the issue with not being able to verify firmware. Any suggestions? Has anyone been able to get this SMBIOS to install 10.13? As posted above use default smbios values in clover configurator. I can't see your specs but I also use MacBook Pro 11,1 on my haswell laptop and HDMI works with my HD4400. You have to make sure you have the correct fakeid for graphics and make sure the audio layouts for hda and HDMI are the same. You may need to use some patches to make HDMI work but try default clover value first. If needed open a new thread and ask for help. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk I did use the original SMBIOS from the newest Clover Configurator the first install but still got the verification error. I haven't tried Clover r4110 yet as I was on r4097. Currently for HDMI I do use FakePCI along with the kexttopatch to disable HDMI port 0105 to fix the lag issue when you first bootup. 10.13 has been the only version where I've had issues with updating. For the HDMI issue the only thing that changes is the SMBIOS causing my TV not to be detected so I don't think any of my HDA patches should cause the issue. Thanks for the input, Ill update once I try the updated Clover. Edit: Using Clover r4110 didn't resolve the issue. Attached is my Clover files minus the Serial Number in the SMBIOS and the themes folder to help with size. Again using the same config.plist using SMBIOS of MacBookPro11.4 doesn't have the install issue. My specs are HP Envy j-070ca with Intel 4600 Graphics, Intel 4700 Processor. Badruzeus
I did use the original SMBIOS from the newest Clover Configurator the first install but still got the verification error. ... 10.13 has been the only version where I've had issues with updating. There're many factors causes "verification error" ~ Plz make sure that ur Installer is not damaged ~ Re-create Installer using "createinstallmedia" method (on Legacy or UEFI..??? ) ~ Use another USB PenDrive, also try plug in to different port (USB2.0) ~ Make sure ur BIOS Date & Time is current, check "AppleRTC" on ur config.plist (or patch DSDT) ~ Re-generate ur SMBios with new Clover Configurator v4.44.0 after updating Clover Bootloader ~ Try clear ur nvram.plist values with this command: sudo nvram -c AFAIK, since 10.13 Beta there's new partition on 2nd stage to complete update process (that appears after 1st reboot). Temporarily change ur Clover GUI to "Auto Scan" and retry MAS update again then boot from it, or use @Pike's script here. Good luck.
Badruzeus
Not sure it's Beta bug, or Bootloader related problem. But when I'm mounting two EFI Partitions from two different devices; I see only one of them appears on Finder's Sidebar. Gotta this issue since 17A264c, now I'm on 17A291m. FYi, on r4111 setup I select 10.11.6 as Target Partition; also checked "Install all RC scripts on all other bootable OSX volumes". While I'm using 2 macOS'es (both are HFS+) on Single Disk, how to check if RC scripts are working properly on another one? Thanks. bootlog_r4111_17A291m.txt
