Just a question: Seems this guide is for creating a legacy booting not UEFI?

I asked since:

1. I downloaded the clover install.zip and it contains a driver64 folder

2. It doesn't tell what options to select during Clover installation. Some installation options are disabled once i select UEFI.

Basically I'm trying to get UEFI to boot using a USB installer and somehow it's not working.

I believe my board (see sig) supports UEFI since I run the Ubuntu USB installer using the UEFI bootable device option. Plus after installing Ubuntu, I get a "UEFI:ubuntu" in my bootable devices list.

Thanks

@MaLd0n Hi! Could you give me a hand getting macOS Mojave 10.14 Dev B2 running on my hack? I have a feeling it will need some specialist knowledge as it's very old hardware.

Intel i3-2105, HD3000 graphics.

I have made the install USB, but have no idea what specific changes are needed (DSDT, kexts) for such an old system. I read here that 10.12.6 kexts are needed because Metal support has been dropped for Sandy Bridge in 10.14?

Let me know any other information you need, and thanks for any help you can give!

Obrigado,

Joaquim

Thanks for the link, but that's the link I already posted in my comment. I have the kexts mentioned there, but can't get my install USB to boot in the first place. I would be grateful for more general details about which options are required for Sandy Bridge HD3000 and Mojave.

I have FakeID set, apfs.efi, FakeSMC.kext, and placed the Graphics kexts in the link into /kexts on the USB. But it won't boot. Could you walk me through from the very basics please?

Thanks very much!

The install USB won't even boot to clover :-( not very helpful I know...

The BIOS hangs on "loading operating system" (Gigabyte) board. Never had this with Sierra/High Sierra, but I can't remember what options my Clover install USB needed then.

Which kexts and drivers and config.plist options are 100% needed for Sandy Bridge/HD 3000?

Thanks, I know this is a hard question because it's so vague. Once I get the USB booting I can be more helpful with information/errors...

Ok, I connected my hackintosh to my Mac in an external USB enclosure to make it easier. I installed Mojave onto the external drive, ran Clover on it, and then put it back in my hack. It now boots to Clover, but selecting the boot drive gives the "No Entry" symbol immediately, even with -x.

I have apfs.efi, FakeSMC, and all the graphics kexts from 10.12.6.

For Clover on the boot drive, I'm using boot0af in the ESP, which is what I used since Yosemite.

What might fix the "No Entry" symbol?

Thanks

Unfortunately, I can't run your app as the system becomes unresponsive before I can do anything. It boots fine to the login screen, and then freezes either there or right after logging in. Mouse can move but nothing can be selected. Are there new FirmwareFeatures and BIOS dates for Mojave which must be set in Clover? Could it be a problem with the Sierra Graphics kexts I am using?
