seralbdev
Hi guys I am a happy Linux user that would like to develop some cross platform Android/iOS apps but I don't own a Mac, so I am investigating about the virtualization possibilities for the Mac part I work in Ubuntu 16.04 x64 with a nice i7 / 16 RAM laptop. I have installed the latest VMWare player 12.5.4, applied the Unlocker 208 and installed MacOS Sierra 10.14.4 / VMWare tools under a VM It works VERY well. I have been able to upgrade it using the Store, installed Xcode....quite promising... BUT... I have issues with the USB connection when I connect an iOS device (IPhone / IPad) If I configure the VM with USB2.0 compatibility the VM freezes completely as soon as I connect the iOS device If I configure the VM with USB3.0 compatibility the VM does not freeze when I connect and iOS device, but the device is not recognized by the Mac / iTunes. I can see the device under the USB hub tree in the system information util, but I din't find a way to make it work at all What it is interesting is if I connect another kind of USB device like a external hard drive / USB pendrive everything works fine I have been trying for a week to do some research in the internet about this issue and, although I have found a few similar cases, I didn't find a possible way to solve it I am a newbie regarding Mac stuff so I any comment regarding this is more than welcome Thanks a lot in advance!
