Mehrab
Hey, I have been successfully able to install MacOs sierra onto my Microsoft Surface Pro. Most things work, audio, touchpad keyboard, SSD and I can boot up from the hard disk. However, I am having a problem with my IGPU kext. The surface 4 using the Intel HD 520 IGPU, whenever I boot it says IGPU Kext failed to load: Framebuffer error. So I cannot get graphics acceleration because the kext does not load and the GUI is very laggy. Does anyone know how to solve this? (I've tried a few kext patches, I will attach my EFI folder) Thank you CLOVER.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/322025-surface-4-framebuffer-issuse/ Share on other sites

Mehrab
That DSDT patch, does seem to help. Now it reboots/shutsdowns half the time I try it. Also, the laptop crashes when the display goes to sleep, any suggestions? cydia2020
But now it also seems my laptop won't reboot or shutdown. I have halt enabler on too. That's a problem with Intel Power management, also happens on Linux with Surface Book. Linux Kernel 4.11 Seems to help but there's no Linux kernel on Mac :b Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/322025-surface-4-framebuffer-issuse/#findComment-2392380 Share on other sites
