PMheart
Yes Apple have already done that for a couple of time. In the past we could use some hidden links to purchase an earlier version like El Capitan. But no idea with Sierra.
0000-1248
about the name, the way things are going I won't be surprise if they decide to call it Mac OS Emoji because it seems that's all they care about, adding emojis I think soon the will run out of mountains names and the will start using lakes names to named their OS Mac OS Emoji would be hilarious, no one would take it seriously and Apple would be the laughing stock of the tech world (nothing particularly new there xD) Lake names would be nice. I wouldn't mind seeing a Mac OS Malawi.
Mr. Xtreme
Hi, I'm honestly expecting broken OS, more dumbification, and some weird gimmick, per the norm. I'm not active in the hackintosh scene as ML/Mavericks was the last "good" OS X version, now it just gets more and more like iOS, I've been rocking linux, so I'll stop by every now and then, but hackintoshing just has not much meaning to me anymore.
MaLd0n
Hey guys, just to give you a heads up: The Install macOS .app doesn't register into your purchases, so after 10.13 gets released 10.12 will no longer be available to download (legally, anyway). I'm downloading and making backups of it in case I need it in future.

I second that, all of my machines are still rocking Mavericks. I definitely haven't been as active lately. I feel as though Apple is pushing away its power user and professional demographic by removing aperture, iPhoto and making the OS (in my opinion) look like it was drawn by kindergarteners. But hey, we all have our own opinions I guess.

I used it once on my phone but I found the ads annoying but I didn't use it enough to bother with premium, so I just use iTunes.

I wonder what in Spotify would cause it? I mean, one would think the only dependencies it would have would be its various network services. Maybe it clashed with your network driver? Your guess is as good as mine.

kosakgroove
Mavericks was a wonderful piece of software and the guys at Apple should use it as reference to the future.. although that clearly won't happen... Yosemite was an unpleasant walk in the park of change.. Then El Capitan was actually great with exception of some bugs in the beggining.. As of OS X 10.11.6 it was refined and I am still using it in my hacks.. I have tried Sierra but in my experience it just brings bugs and not working features.. despite my efforts.. I don't expect any improvement in macOS in the future.. they forgot about who really found Macs useful...I would only update to 10.13 with an introduction of Dark Mode... otherwise no point...
Slice
If I have Skylake then I have to use Sierra at least. As well USB3.0 (3.1 coming), SATA 3, OpenGL4.1 etc. This is new system, I can't return to Mavericks. As well some third-party programs already require ElCapitan at least. Older hardware -> older system -> restricted capabilities. Best wishes!
Gigamaxx
I'm sticking with Windows XP no matter what. Ironically, i'm on Mavericks right now on my Pentium g3258 (Ryzen testing ssd). Sierra and El Capitan are much easier to deal with especially with the latest clover revisions. XMP and ARTFrequency, are a couple of great reasons to use Sierra, for Skylake and Kaby Lake systems. For me though, I don't use OS X as my main OS and I haven't for a while, as the last version I like was Mavericks. Back in '13 when I built my Haswell PC, Mavericks was my main OS, but I have since switched to Windows 7 as I love gaming. As a result, I only use OS X for niche purposes such as FCPX, iCloud integration, etc. This means that as long as it suits my purposes, I see no reason to upgrade and I can continue using Mavericks indefinitely. I still have some systems which require XP for specific licensing applications I need for work. In fact, the ones which use XP were made in 2009-2010, well after Vista and when 7 was in its hay day. XD You can set a registry value in XP to make it think it is a POS (point of sale) system and continue to get security updates for a couple more years.
Nubira
They should finnish the os x versions before they release new ones but they never do that and every new version has round 8 updates. So why the heck they release them before they are completely done with them is stupid. My guess is they try to force customers to buy new hardware repetedly. I have not seen any improvements at all since I started with hackintoshing in the leopard days. Well maybe snowleopard was a little cooler but thats it. Same on the ios side and my iphone and ipad constantly looses functionality and acts weird. These are products I paid some hard earned money for and that used to work supergood but not any more now they suck and for every update they suck even more.
