stefverley
With a few clover boot options I can get into OSx installer, use the disk utility to format my SSD and begin the Sierra installation process. After about three minutes it fails with a message that says "macOScould not be installed on your computer - An error occured installing macOS. To use Apple Diagnostics.. etc" I am using iMac 17.1 smbios and have a couple kext files. My entire EFI Clover folder is zipped for review at this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/xqnbm5ee7ivhdvi/STEF%20EFI%20FOLDER.zip?dl=0 I'm using -v Thanks. stefverley
MaLd0n thanks for your help! Following the guide I was able to make it through and finally complete the installation! When the computer rebooted the bios had to be reset for some reason so I made the necessary bios changes and when I try to boot from my macOS SSD drive to complete the setup I get another fatal error associated with ACPI see the error image below *** thanks so much for your help! I was so happy when the install completed! Stef/

stefverley
Hi mfc88, thanks for posting the guide - I followed the entire set of instructions twice and still same outcome. After I reboot the final time and go to sign back into the icloud account my iphone rings to allow access to the Imac for Icloud. After I enter the OTP keychain is already selected as a service and thats where I am failing to complete your guide. When I go back to sign into Imessage after that I still get the "you cannot sign into iMessage on this Mac at this time" using SMbios 17.1 as directed. I am running Sierra. Where am I going wrong? bigpoppa206
Is your ethernet connection en0 or en1? If en1 you need to change it.

Reset your keychain password via iPhone. And then rerun my tool ("idc"), reboot, then try to sign into your account again. I remember running in an issue with Keychain and gaining full access. After I reset the password and that seemed to clear it up. Also, as bigpoppa stated, make sure your ethernet connection is en0. You can check by clicking the Apple Icon->About This Mac->System Report->Ethernet->BSD Name
stefverley
I see I missed something with the LAN. I had kext copied to EFI (IntelMausiEthernet.kext) but when I checked System Report it shows nothing under Ethernet pane. Can clover config "FIX LAN" or "LAN" resolve this? Onboard NIC is E2200. Thank you everyone. Stef/

stefverley
it? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/313-atherose2200ethernet/ Got it. Or course another user error on my part with wrong kext. I will retry the guide above and post back in ~10 mins. Reset your keychain password via iPhone. You can check by clicking the Apple Icon->About This Mac->System Report->Ethernet->BSD Name Does keychain have a seperate password - or do I need to reset my iCloud password via Iphone? Could my dual factor authentication be causing a problem? Also everytime after I fail to sign into Imessage with the "could not sign in" - my iphone blows up with a code to verify like when I first sign into iCloud. Thanks. You can reset it from your iPhone. To remove two factor, sign out of iCloud from System Preferences, delete any accounts in "Internet Accounts", rerun my tool ("idc"), reboot, then when you sign in, this time, don't enable it (you don't need to do anything to your config.plist)! I am going to reboot sign out and try again with the tool. will let you know what happens. Separate password. You can reset it from your iPhone. How can I do that on iPhone? When I go into iCloud it only lets me turn keychain on or off. I reset my password for icloud all together signed out all devices signed back in iphone ran the app same result.. Go to your iPhone Settings->click iCloud->Keychain->Advanced->"Change Security Code" (only change keychain, not both, otherwise, it'll change your lock screen code as well). OR On your PC, System Preferences->iCloud (sign in)->Keychain->Options->"Change Security Code"
