mitch_de Posted October 8, 2016 Share Posted October 8, 2016 It will be, even if you fake the CPU ID (to CPU with SSE4) that at the first use of SSE4 cpu code ( it doenst have!) , the CPU panic. Your cpu end with SSE3. But i think you can change your Clovertown XEON to an used Hapertown (also 4 Cores, SSE4.1) or Wolfdale-DP ( 2 Cores, SSE4.1) . On Mac OS X 10.12.0 it didn't really work reliably. After updating to 10.12.1 beta it works perfect, with the patched prefpane, even sound keys work, as well as multi finger gestures. The only things that bother me and that are not working are the three finger swipe up for Launchpad (doesn't work on both of my Hacks that run Sierra) and a weird issue with brightness keys. I followed the guide for enabling the brightness keys through ACPI edits in the _Q0E and _Q0F methods in my DSDT (which I previously didn't need) and this made the fn+f5 and f6 work for brightness control, but it only works in the login screen of Mac OS X 10.12.1, once I login, it doesn't work anymore, and I have to use the menubar app.. I find it really strange, I followed the same strategy on my Lenovo L420 and brightness control works great both in login screen and in user account... I would love some help with this, thanks in advance I am enjoying Sierra a lot, I just would like to take care of these last problems. But he said me this is no problem. Im not sure that is right. I cant confirm it because i dont have real mac air or pro. from dp1 to 11.12 official are not good about fn and capslock. Apple improve touchpad and keyboard. I think we have to more wait update. Maybe 10.12.1 official? Or more update. I made summary driver bug in sierra. I will report him when he is back. Here i'm having problems with the public beta 3 and finder fonts (the thin ones)... it seems like an antialias problems... with 12.10.0 all ok... now i'm updating to the beta4... let's see...
