Zenith432
Sounds like a short in your headphones. How do you "choose" between left or right? By lowering the volume on the other all way down to zero? Thanks! Works with Yosemite. I have only one problem. Zenith432
That's common connector for laptops. Maybe try with splitter Exactly! Or I go to output/ "balance"My notebook is like a phone. Is only one Jack for mic/headphones.
everart
Can you record the bad sound by phone an upload here for us? I can´t because is with my headphones but I saw that I got HEADPHONES (BLACK LEFT) When I plug it in. It shouldn´t be like this right? That's common connector for laptops. Maybe try with splitter I know is not cable! I already try this.. also 4 different headphones with and without mic. take a look! If I can make the speaker "Mono" for me it will be amazing! because I really don´t care about Stereo in a laptop and I have a USB audio interface if I need. can I make voodooHDA MONO? trupetiago
I'm having an issue with VoodooHDA 2.9.0 in Sierra 10.12.4. When I install Voodoo, it works fine, all the ports and volume touch controls. The only problem is that is disable all the USB ports injected by USBInjectAll.kext. I uninstalled Voodoo, and the ports didn't came back. I uninstalled USBInjectAll, reboot, and installed again, without voodoo, and the ports didn't come back. The HD was formatted 3 times, installed Sierra methodically all the times, in other words. I repeated the test 3 times. Its and Laptop HP dv4-2160us - Intel 430m i5 2.27 GHz - Arrandale, 1st gen intel graphics. 5 series/3400 series. The audio hardware is vendor 8086 and device 3B56. The USB host is vendor 8086 and device 3B3C. The EHCI controller is vendor 8086 and device 3B64. I'm having remote assistance and the person already installed 1500 hackintoshes, he never seen this issue before. Anyone have any clue about what is happening? Slice
Sorry but VoodooHDA has zero relation to USB.
mitch_de
Yep, pehaps something else happens (DSDT.aml with USB fixes not loaded, other non VoodooHDA related USB fix things happen)
illfatedIM
VodooHDA makes (rear) sound output (stereo) work but Microphone, Line-Out, SPDIF (Rear) wont work. I've been trying to get the PinConfigOverrideVerbs from Windows regedit and the codec dumps from linux but this card (Emu20k2, SB0880) doesnt have any codecs on linux even though microphone works perfectly fine there and windows doesnt have a PinConfig entry in the registry for this card. I'm at a loss... what else can I do to make at least the mic/lineout to work?
Zenith432
Run the prefpane, select the Mic Input you want to use - RecLev is the main volume for audio input, so set it to something usable. - Microphone/Monitor/Line-In are secondary volumes for audio input - so set the one you're using to something useful and mute the others. - If you have iMix, set it to 100% - Mute other volumes on the Mic Input. - Make sure you're using latest 2.9.0d10. If you still have problems, upload getdump. I have some changes that make the System Volume Control for Mics change the RecLev, but haven't committed it yet. I'm at a loss... what else can I do to make at least the mic/lineout to work?
illfatedIM
I am on the latest 2.9.0d10 and I'm using the prefpane from this thread as the one from sourceforge wouldnt work. This is what my Line-In (Blue Rear) looks like I tried different volume settings for Rec, Line and bottom left volume but it made no difference. In windows I had to select "microphone" in my driver instead of "line-in" as it is a combo port I believe? edit: yup - It's called "FlexiJack" in windows and I have to click "microphone" instead of "line-in" to be able to use the mic on that port. johnzaro
I installed voodooHDA 2.8.8.pkg today and then installed voodooHDA 2.9.0d10 kext with kext beast to S/L/E. I have 2.1 stereo speakers connected to the green rear jack of my gigabyte Z270N-WiFi mb which work correctly and also connected my headphones to the front green jack which also works. However I am trying to get the microphone (front pink jack) to work but it only produces a very loud static noise. I tried all possible combinations in preference pane (it lets me adjust speaker, iMix, Recording Level and monitor) but nothing can eliminate the static. Is there anything I can do to fix the microphone? getDump.txt
Sbrillo
tried with 2.9.0 version and new prefpane. Sound works but I can't install prefpane

Works but I have only two option to adjust: PCM and iMix. I cannot adjust bass or speaker value. Audio chip is IDT92HD99BXX.
gills83
hello, In the end, voodooHDA works perfectly on AMD Ryzen platforms, no audio stall in UHD 4K media playback, audio quality is of average quality compared to a DAC but works perfectly. Thanks Slice edit: file audio 24 bit 88 Khz http://petoindominique.fr/gratuit/Julsang.zip
Premium Clickins
Hello, I am using VoodooHDA 2.9.0d10. It is injecting from Clover 4077. I can't seem to adjust the volume of each speaker. Just front left and right or 1 and 2. The speaker config is set to 5.1 and when I click on each speaker and the sub, they work fine. Any Ideas? Thanks
P303
Greetings Slice, I’m excited! This is the closet I’ve been to fully functional onboard Realtek ALC1150 audio. The front headphone port works great without noise, however when I try the analog “5.1CH (Green+Orange+Black Rear) and SPDIF optical digital-out port, I only get Left/ Right/ Sub. My center/ surround speakers are not working. I've tested my 5.1 receiver with other audio sources and it is functioning properly. I used Kext beast to install your “VoodooHDA.kext-2.9.0d10” file to S/ L/ E and I manually moved the “prePane-289” to L/ PreferencePanes. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Analog 5.1CH/ SPDIF Optical digital-out 1. Left 2. Right 3. Sub No center or Surrounds channels 4-6 have no audio. I added the following to Clover Config Text Mode. <key>NodesToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Codec</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Config</key> <string>0x100001</string> <key>Node</key> <integer>16</integer> </dict> <dict> <key>Codec</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Config</key> <string>0x100001</string> <key>Node</key> <integer>14</integer> </dict> <dict> <key>Codec</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Config</key> <string>0x100001</string> <key>Node</key> <integer>5</integer> </dict> </array> Gigabyte GA-X99P-SLI (BIOS f23) - Intel Core i7-5820K 6-Cores - GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 - Vengeance LPX DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz - Sierra 10.12.
Slice
1. Why did you add NodesToPatch to Clover config? These must be in VoodooHDA/Contents/Info.plist 2. What is config 0x100001? This is wrong node config. Make getdump to see what nodes present and what needed to patch.

I thought "0x100001" was for ALC1150 codec. I've attached my dump file. getDump.txt
ydeng
Hi I need some help with spdif output. Headphone works great. spdif optic output sounds like passed through a low pass filter, only low frequency is present. kextstat | grep HDA 97 0 0xffffff7f80ef4000 0x22000 0x22000 org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA (2.9.0d10) no UUID <92 12 7 5 4 3> Get dump is attached. Thank you. Ok, after a reboot PCM works. I think the blue-player messes things up trying to do raw digital by-pass. audio_dump.zip
