Yes, I know...

I use

config-nvme-kext.plist (without the patch) with IONVMeFamilyBorg.kext: result in crash or KP

or

config.plist (with the patch) without IONVMeFamilyBorg.kext: it works in this configuration

I understand what I am doing...

Try to move it to /System/Library/Extensions

Tested, it work. at least in Sierra.

So I was attempting this using El Capitan. I have an Apple Dev account and get my hands on the Sierra Dev Preview if it's known not to work with El Capitan.

Also, I didn't mention in my original post but I was trying to dual-boot with Windows already installed on the 750 SSD. After further research, I believe that was an oversight that could be the cause of my problems. Can anyone confirm that? In the meantime, I purchased a PNY SSD to install OSX on. If things go well, I will make OSX my primary OS and attempt to install on the 750 SSD again after a format.

Is a risk to have a Windows on an nvme ssd loaded by a super hacked driver from OSX, be sure to have a backup, or install both on the 850 EVO and test with the 750...

I have a daily backup of system image and data that runs every night and saves locally and externally. I'm not too worried about that.

I'm going to use a regular SSD for now and come back to the NVME issue later as long as everything is stable with OSX. Thanks for the help.

So Clover doesn't load the kext ?

For me work, but for you the vanilla get the precedence, not sure why. Can you try adding -a option generating IONVMEFamilyBorg.kext?

...removing the one in SLE and rebuilding the cache.. the new one in CLOVER/kexts/10.12

....the only possible difference... (the class code) ..but you should already tried (right?)

Ok thanks.

@Carmine, I cant see so much problems... SLE or LE serves to place kexts. When you install the Web drivers you place them in Clover? ... they are not vanilla..

yeah, ok this is true, but a kext of this type if you are in SLE or LE what happens to win the future upgrade? I think there will be problems
