oSxFr33k
@oSxFr33k, Can you boot the installer in safe mode with MacPro4,1 SMBIOS? Maybe create the installer by the "restore BaseSystem.dmg method", remove AppleTyMCEDriver from the installer's /S/L/E and rebuild kernelcache as described in this thread for the El Capitan Installer (should still work for Sierra). Good Luck! I was thinking of doing it that way to but in the end it may be easier to just install onto an SSD from another PC and do all the edits I will need on that PC while booted to its native SSD and manipulate the SSD with the fresh Sierra install with whatever edits I need either remove that kext or try the SSD patch again. Loosing all USB ports throws me for a loop when I choose one of the iMac system definitions although I am not really completely modifying the SMBIos only changing it at clover boot so maybe that is why I am loosing all the USB ports, because parts of the SMBios are still from the MacPro3,1? I will try again modifying the SMBios complete while in Clover Configurator and then try iMac12,1 and iMac13,1 again. I appreciate that information which would be yet another way to get around the installer! Edited 6-30-17 I took the route I mentioned installing Sierra onto the SSD that was placed in a Sierra Supported PC, inserted the drive and works perfectly. I removed the EC Ram Kext for MacPro AppleTyMCEDriver for SEL. Thanks!
MacPeet
News for HighSierra: DP Beta 3 still worked very well ... DP Beta 4 does not work (Errors, no boot possible) ... DP Beta 5 not tried ... DP Beta 6 works again with the MacPro3,1 without problems (SSD with HFS +) ...
MacPeet
Here everything is fine on my real MacPro3,1. iCloud, iMessage, Facetime works here on Sierra and High Sierra 10.13.3 DP4 17D34a Where are the problems?
MacPeet
SIP: Not necessarily. My HD5770 needs a kext rollback from the Sierra. For that I need "csrutil enable --without kexts". Probably not with the Nvidia, right? Here's the patched framework for NightShift High Sierra for you. change this to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ CoreBrightness.framework.zip
MacPeet
It works without Clover. Flags: added here /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist SIP: recovery boot -> Terminal -> csrutil disable -> SIP off Kext's: I'm using EasyKext Pro for install and cache rebuild everything works fine without Clover USB3: try GenericUSBXHCI.kext
MacPeet
correct Boot recovery needs to be mounted first and the PlatformSupport.plist replaced. @millusions, which USB3 card do you have? I still have a free PCIe slot. The HD5770 occupies two slots. Third slot with Wi-Fi: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 N900 dual-band adapter (PCIe, 450 Mbps) - works OOB A slot would still be free for USB3. edit: also the latest beta works very well
